Ummmmmm not quite. New year, yes…new me?? Nope! definitely NOT! BETTER ME? YESSSSS DEFINITELY!
Each year we’re always inundated with trying to come up with a New Year’s Resolution, that may or may not stick around until Feb let alone the whole year.
BUT I definitely do think the end of the year / beginning of the year (or beginnings of anything) should give us permission to sit with ourselves and write down things that we’re proud of accomplishing or overcoming or learnt from the year gone and what we’d like to bring forward to the year ahead.
What we’d like to do more of going forwards.
What are we going to leave behind? That doesn’t serve our higher good?
I like to take time out (usually on the 31st, makes it more dramatic in my head 😂) all that I’ve achieved and learned with the previous year and what I’d like to do more of going into the year ahead.
Things that’s going to grow me as an individual, personally and professionally. Then I choose a word or an affirmation to go into the year with.
Last year it was FEARLESS… I absolutely love this one and when I sit with myself a little later this evening journaling through ☝🏽 2022 I’ll have more of an idea just how FEARLESS I was…
What I do know for sure is I’d like to do more:
Reading
Traveling
Self care
Loving

This morning’s workout felt nothing short of lousy.
Not all days are gonna feel incredible but getting on with it and doing the best you can at that moment in time is better than nothing…and you’ll feel better for it 😁
So a reminder that next time you feel like skipping the gym cause you’re feeling ‘low energy’ or it’s cold outside or simply not feelin’ it, I promise you, the feeling of having accomplished a workout vs not, will far outweigh the feeling of having skipped it in the first place.
I even surprised myself at how fantastic I I felt after the not so great sesh, perhaps a cocktail of feeling pleased with myself laced with an overdose of endorphins I think were to blame 😂
