My New Year’s resolution is once again to pursue stability; financially, socially, and politically. I feel lucky to make beautiful clothes, and do my makeup and spend time with people who make me smile. I feel luckier when benefactors of the arts reach out to me in pursuit of patronage. There’s no higher compliment than to want to give me money to make my work, I am shocked and appreciative every single time. You all make my world go round, with food on the table.
Many many people still do not respect or subscribe to my gender proclamation (they/them) and after years of talking about it (so boring) I’ve determined that it’s not my problem if they can’t or won’t understand. The same way I’m asking them to engage in my delusion by using they/them pronouns, they’re asking me to endure their delusion by he/himming me to my face. My psychological fortitude is not shaken by a disbeliever, my reality is not defined by disagreement about the materiality of the world. Im moving into 2026 prioritizing my comfort.
Moving to queens really has turned my entire life upside down. I don’t know how I lived for so many years without access to flushing, and the riverfront, and delicious food, and a short commute to the garment district, and 24 hour juice at United fruit brothers, and $6 duchess silk! Seeing New York in this way has been such a gift and it is by far my favorite place I have ever lived. I want to strive to be worthy of queens, of my relationship, and of my friendships♥️♥️♥️
Through researching Mediterranean mythology I discovered the early Greco-Sicilian volcano nymph Aitna, who was used by ancient peoples to explain the origin of the volcano of Sikelia. She is one of a set of primordial mountain god siblings, children of Gaia, referred to as the Ourea. She is unique in that all the other Ourea are depicted as old bearded men, and they inhabit non-volcanic geologic structures.
What really drew me to her is that there are no known surviving visual depictions of her from antiquity. We know only of her existence in folk mythology through oral tradition, and written history. It’s a fabulous design prompt, to imagine a deity through language only. For her clothes, I wanted my gown to feel like a molten glowing magma chamber just below the surface of a recently cooled lava flow, so I used crimson and neon pink tinsel brocade layered under a black sequin netting to play with luminosity, and glimmer. I wanted my bustle to feel tectonic, and massive, like the foot of a mountain, with a fitted column pyroclastic ash cloud as the upper skirt and bodice. My sleeve caps have smoke plumes of black netting, and my hat has peacock and goose feathers meant to look like projectiles emerging from the throat of the volcano. Almost every hem is punctuated by short glass beaded fringe because I wanted all the edges of my gown to feel in motion, as if the extension of my ashy reach was impermanent, and alive. Her hat is a subtle nod to the costal significance of etna, and her nearest metropolitan center of commerce, Catania, spilling into the sea in retreat from her fiery wrath (I think is where my grandfathers family are from?) My black beaded wig is laced with strands of small multicolored satin and silk flowers to capture the beauty of regrowth and new life that is essential to the story of any volcanic lifecycle. The fabrics I chose utilize catholic motifs as a nod to the many centuries of occupation Aitna has witnessed, I love imagining myself inhabiting geologic time in the same way a demigod can, to imagine a better world being within my earth shaping grasp over millennia.
ANYWAY FEELING THANKFUL FOR A FUN NIGHT WITH ONE OF MY MOST ORIGINAL LONG TIME DIVAS!!!!

I wish I had gotten a photo of this incredible painting I saw in little Italy the other day. We went back to it literally 10 times; it was very special. Group figuration is still hot in late 2025 you heard it here first!!! Thank you so much for inviting me to what I hope becomes the inaugural demonstration of your curatorial practice at such a scale!!
Another fun silly fashion week behind us, AHOY!!!⚓️
Beauty abounds, glamour approaches!! We have survived another year of never forgetting. The chill of fall taunts us with infrequent winks, I’m back to wearing layers. The virgos are all so magical and some of them are crazy, but I too am crazy. Im missing some people. I have never been less alone, I have also never been further out on the horizon, which is scary. I’m seeking change and calm as we move into autumn.

Whereas We have taken into Our Royal Consideration the significant and necessary acknowledgement of one, a most special, 30th birthday in the season of Virgo!!! Beheld amongst an embarrassment of riches taking shape in friendships, indulgent regalia, endless laughter, and in enjoyment by Our Crown to celebrate the Duke of Dash; We have thought fit, with the Advice of Our Privy Council, to issue this Our Royal Proclamation, hereby publishing and declaring to all Our loving Subjects, that We have, with the Advice of Our said Privy Council, granted Our Letters Patent under Our Great Astorian Seal upon arrival in the hallowed Tuxedo Park, to bestow within the grounds of this beloved faire of renaissance, the title of “best dressed” unto this gewgaw bedecked Ducal birthday procession.
Huzzah to the princely son of Pennsylvania on this second of September, the day of acknowledgment of his third decade in this realm. We wish the enchanting whimsy of his celebration to continue through the entirety of this, the 25th year of the new millennia.
Special thanks to for fulfilling our millinery needs, to for crowning us costume winners, and to all our friends for the pictures and videos📸✨💋♥️
With eternal love, yours faithfully♥️
Suddenly my world’s gone and changed its face,
but I still know where I’m going.
I have had my mind spun around in space,
and yet l’ve watched it growing
Oh! And If you’re listening, God,
please don’t make it hard
To know if we should believe
in things that we see
Tell us, should we run away?
Should we try and stay?
Or would it be better just to let things be?
Living here, in this brand-new world,
might be a fantasy
But it taught me to love,
so it’s real, real to me
And I’ve learned that we must
look inside our hearts to find
A world full of love
like yours, like mine
Like home♥️
Special thanks to for including me in this special celebration of community, family, and joy!!!♥️

CLASS OF ‘24 YEARBOOK!!
When reached out asking if I’d be a part of her next shoot, the theme of queer high school had me less than enthused. High school for me was a traumatic time marked by physical violence, homophobia on behalf of people who couldn’t even comprehend transphobia, targeted harassment, vandalism of my home, verbal abuse from adults and children alike, isolation and loneliness. It was by the gentle kind virtue of my incredible parents that I survived. But when Miss leidy offered me prom queen, I couldn’t say no💎💎💎
When trying to imagine the girl who attends prom anticipating a win-I thought of a young starlet who yearns to steal the show. This girl (me) wants to shine more brightly than anyone ever has, and the best way to suck the attention out of any room is to dress as a bride. This promstress in pursuit of queendom-a feminine ingenue stepping into womanhood for the first time, shedding the guise of virginal naivety-would treat prom as her wedding night.
Special thank you too
