Took an extra backswing on skyhooks and slowed down for pizzas after failing it in the race before but overall super happy with this run! I’m happy to have improved on my performance from last year and make it into the top 4. While it was a rollercoaster and I wasn’t as consistent as I would have liked across all of my races, I felt like myself again on the course and put together some runs I am really proud of
Training for this season was difficult, as I re-injured my left ankle in April and July before the show filmed in September. It was hard to push myself while avoiding re-injury, but I’m proud of the work I put in (alongside the 🐐 ) to show up to filming heathy and prepared. I was lucky to be surrounded by a great crew in Orlando to train for this season as well, including the man, who I’ve trained alongside for the last few seasons and has really helped me push and improve as an athlete and person
Truthfully, ninja has been a struggle these last few years. I’ve dedicated nearly every aspect of my life to my goal of winning Ninja Warrior for over half a decade, and it hurts to come up just short again. Since dislocating my ankle before the National Finals in 2023, it has felt like an endless string of injuries, frustrating competitions, and just not quite being able to put it all together
I’ve been training harder than ever this year and I’m going to give it my all in Season 19. I’m not ready to give up on the dream yet, and I can’t wait for another shot at the title 🤞
