Jan Mihm (54) ist kurzerhand nach Obertauern gezogen, um dort jede freie Stunde auf der Piste verbringen zu können.
Jan Mihm ist aus seinem Leben in Berlin ausgestiegen, um in Obertauern jeden Tag in die Ski zu steigen. Die gerade zu Ende gegangene Saison hat der Berliner Skifan mit einem Rekord beendet.
Seit Montag am Nachmittag stehen die Skilifte in Obertauern still. Mit dem Ende der Wintersaison kehrt am Tauern Ruhe ein. Eine der letzten Gondeln vom Berg ins Tal hat am Montag Jan Mihm genommen. Der Berliner hat den gesamten Winter in Obertauern verbracht. Sein einziges Ziel: Skifahren! Und das möglichst an jedem Tag der Saison, egal welches Wetter.
„Es ist ein Rekord geworden“, erklärt der 54-Jährige der „Krone“. 130 Skitage in Obertauern, 12 am Großeck/Speiereck stehen am Ende der gesamten Wintersaison in Mihms Ski-Tagebuch. Hätte er sich nicht am 21. April beim Skifahren einen dreifachen Bändereinriss im rechten Knie zugezogen, es wären noch mehr geworden.
Vom Unternehmer zum Skifahrer und Kellner
Im Dezember 2021 ist der Deutsche nach einem Kurzurlaub in Obertauern einfach im Ort hängen geblieben. „Ich wollte einem möglichen Lockdown entgehen“, so der sportliche Mittfünfziger. Und er habe sich verliebt: in den Ort und die Berge.Viele Jahre lang steckte Mihm alles in seine Karriere, Familie und Freizeit kamen zu kurz. Das änderte der ehemalige Unternehmer nun radikal. Er schaute sich um einen Job und fand ihn im Fünfstern-Hotel Cinderella. „Ich muss ja irgendwie über die Runden kommen. Das Wichtigste aber ist, dass ich untertags Skifahren gehen kann.“
Nach seiner ersten Saison in Obertauern, war rasch klar, dass er wieder komme. Im Sommer war Mihm bei seinen beiden erwachsenen Kindern in Berlin. Vergangenen November zog es wieder nach Salzburg. Er bezog sein kleines Personalzimmer, heuerte wieder im Hotel an. Nur: Dieses Mal wollte
