I’m so excited to tell you about an incredible event I have coming up on 1st December! I have teamed up with the legendary David Sye to create the ultimate charity yoga event! Join us for an evening of fun, creative workshops, the chance to socialise with likeminded people, great food and drinks, all whilst raising money for a worthy cause.

I will be starting the evening with a condensed version of my highly rated ā€˜Make Yoga Fun Again’ workshop. This is a playful practice with an emphasis on trying new things and most importantly having fun! I will then hand over to David to introduce us to YogaBeats!

I can’t predict what will happen in this workshop, but I can guarantee it will be like nothing you’ve done before! David is known as the original ā€˜bad boy’ of yoga. In 1997 the UK press said that he had destroyed 5000 years of yoga tradition by combining free moving asana with club music, you can expect more of this at this event! Long before I was running Gin Yin events, David was teaching tequila yoga! He also ran cacao smoothie raves in a Mosque and many other original workshops around the world. His influences include classical yoga, kundalini, Sufism and paganism, all set to funk and soul beats!

After the event we will have a rare chance to socialise with our fellow yogis in our private cocktail bar. There will be the opportunity to try Palestinian food supplied by a local family business, plus incredible drinks made sustainably on site by our hosts Jim & Tonic.

All profits from this event will be donated via Operation Olive Branch, a grassroots movement that aims to support and amplify aid requests of Palestinian families.

Over 50% of the tickets have already been sold, so follow the link in my bio now to avoid missing out!

I hope you will support us in supporting this worthy cause. This is guaranteed be an unforgettable night!

I’m working on my 4th yoga retreat which is scheduled for September in Crete. I love running retreats, for me this is the best part of my job!

Last Decembers Mexico retreat was amazing! We had the perfect group and many new friendships were formed. It always makes me happy to see people from the retreats staying in touch and still meeting up around the world. Next Sunday I’m looking forwards to two of the group coming to park yoga in London, via Texas & Santander!

If you’ve never experienced one of my retreats then you won’t be surprised to hear that I highly recommend them! They are a great way to solo travel, deepen your yoga practice and connect with new like minded people. And as someone who has read over 100 personal development books, I always have to include workshops that take the best of everything I’ve learnt and condense it into a short, highly actionable sessions.

If you are feeling tempted then now is a great time to take action as I’ve just created a limited time discount code! The retreat is already substantially cheaper than all comparable retreats, but you can save an extra Ā£50 if you book this month! Just use the code CRETE50 to save Ā£50 on your deposit.

Visit for full details (link in bio). As always, feel free to DM me if you have any questions.

I hope you will join us on the magical island of Crete! I can guarantee that investing in yourself will be something you’ll never regret!

My third successive winter in Mexico is just weeks away! I’m so excited to be going back to one of my favourite places, Isla Mujeres, to host another Disconnect to Reconnect Retreat.

I think Mexico is place you could never get bored of visiting! Its such a big and varied country. From calm Caribbean waters on the east coast, famous surf beaches on the west, mountains, volcanoes, cenotes, one of the seven wonders of the world, great food and lots of tequila! And this list doesn’t even mention the rich history, incredible diving and vibrant nightlife.

We have just two places left if you want to join us for the ultimate winter escape! Yoga, tacos and sunshine, what more convincing do you need?!

Currently looking out the window at the pouring rain and wishing I was back in Mexico. Luckily I don’t have too long to wait until I return to the magical Isla Mujeres!

Last years retreat really was the highlight of 2022. We were lucky to have such an amazing group of people, and even more lucky that 5 of them will be joining us again this year! (Hopefully more will decide to come back too!)

Even though last years retreat was incredible, I think this years will be even better! We have seen what worked and what didn’t and improved the timetable. The venue have also upgraded the rooms and we’ve kept the same fantastic chef! (This is the most important thing!).

We’ve kept the idea of approaching this as a yoga holiday rather than a strict yoga retreat. You can do three classes a day, there will be things like Reiki, sound bowl mediations, and workshops, but also lots of activities on the island, including spending time at one of the Top Ten beaches in the Caribbean!

If you like the sound of escaping the cold, rain and dark nights then now is a great time to secure your place! We only have four places left and I have a special limited time discount code to make the decision even easier.

Use code INVEST50 to save £50 on the deposit. This code expires on 14th August, so invest in your future self today to secure your place!

Feel free to DM me with any questions you may have. I never get bored of talking about the retreat!

For me one of the best things about summertime in London is the return of yoga in the park.

This year we haven’t had the best summer in terms of weather, but the park yoga sessions have been amazing! We’ve been treated to fantastic sunsets, good food and drinks and we’ve had a great bunch of people at every class. Plus the yoga has been incredible…. šŸ˜†

Practicing outside in the sunshine amongst the trees and with the sounds of birds is such a different experience from being in the studio. The main benefits though are the occasional visits from dog’s, and the after class social.

Often in a studio class it seems like the word ā€˜Namaste’ acts as a starting pistol and now the race is on to get out of the door first! Quickly spray the mat, throw the bolster in the corner and run!

It’s no wonder it’s so hard to meet people at a class. So it’s great that these park classes give people the chance to connect with likeminded people, and I’m so happy that attendees have started to socialise outside of the events. I’m not even bitter that they don’t invite me….

If you’re interested in joining us for a class then send me a DM and I’ll send you the details.

Hopefully see you on the park soon!

ā€œThe difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather a lack of will.ā€ — Vince Lombardi

This quote applies to so many things in life, including arm balances. Often I have people in class saying that they can’t do a pose because they aren’t strong enough. If you have around an average strength to weight ratio then I don’t think this is the reason. Arm balances are all about leverage, finding the counterbalance so you can hold the pose. Having a 150kg bench press does not correlate to being good at arm balances! There are lots of people who have never lifted a heavy weight in their life who are masters at arm balancing.

I regularly see people doing everything right to get into an arm balance, but then not fighting to stay there. As soon as they start to lose the balance point they give up.

You’re always moving forwards or backwards in an arm balance, you have to keep making small adjustments to try find that balance point. Sometimes it will go a big wrong, like in this video when Intried yo come into Dwi Pada Koundinyasana! If you can learn to readjust whilst in the pose your arm balances are going to improve rapidly.

So next time you’re in an arm balance fight for the pose!

Playing around with adding some breakdance moves into my yoga flow. Never thought I’d write that! Lately I’ve become really interested in combining traditional yoga poses with fun things from different modalities. This B-Boy flow from baby freeze to elbow freeze to shoulder freeze is now an option in my next twist workshop! (Btw, it looks a lot cooler than this if you watch real breakdancers doing it! I still need to work out how to get out of it!)

If you want to try it then you should join me for my Yoga Evolved day retreat on 25th June in Angel, London.

My twist workshop is just one in a whole day of wellness related activities. We have everything from traditional Persian medicine to hypnosis! Follow the link in my bio for the full info.

At the time of writing there were still some discounted early bird tickets remaining. Feel free to DM with any questions you may have.

Hope to see you there!

Good news! Due to a delay in getting this post out, we’ve extended our $100 discount offer on the Disconnect to Reconnect in Mexico until Monday 13th February! If you follow my Instagram, then you’ll probably already know that I think you should definitely invest in yourself and join us this December for the ultimate reboot!

You might think ā€˜he would say that, it’s his retreat’! This is also true! That’s why I held what I corporately called ā€˜exit interviews’ with some of the attendees from our last retreat.

It’s always better to hear it from people who have actually experienced the retreat. I don’t buy anything without reading at least a few reviews, so hopefully these videos are useful to you if you are still undecided.

WARNING: These videos contains footage of an attendee crashing a bike at speed into a brick wall!

If you decide that you want to escape the winter and join us on the paradise island of Isla Mujeres, then use code INVEST2023 to claim your $100 discount and secure your place! There’s nothing else to pay until October, so don’t miss out!

As always, feel free to message me with any questions you might have.
