“Sorry! I completed ghosted social media for a while, and it’s been… incredible. It wasn’t planned, it just happened and life went on and seemed to get more and more beautiful. I married the love of my life and with that both our families doubled in size. I gained so much more than a life partner and my heart is fuller than it has ever been. We’ve been living in a van for over a year and while it’s been a hugely enriching experience for so many reasons, there has always been one thing that was missing. The music. So I hatched a plan to convert a partially built campervan into a full time, no compromise, studio to take on the road. To say I was under qualified would be an understatement, I knew nothing about building, I had never really used a power tool before and had no idea what I was really undertaking, I just … started. My wife’s dad helped me repurpose the old broken roof rack so we could mount huge amounts of solar. I took out the bed and set about replacing the ceiling with shiplap planks. I also fitted acoustic panels to the walls to improve the sound. Of course no van is complete without starlink and the mini absolutely changed our lives with its 100mph in motion connection. I went overboard on the power adding the equivalent to a quarter of Tesla’s worth of batteries, meaning power would never be a restriction on creativity. Then the gear started arriving, first the Arturia and then the prophet, she’s a beauty. I’ve wanted this synth for 10 years it’s a dream come true. I ended the lease on my music studio and we moved out of our Boulder apartment. Now we’re hitting the road full time in our two vans, in search of inspiration and adventure. Imagine the possibilities…but enough talk. Here’s the finished result. I think it might be one of the most unique studios in the world. Buckle up because things are about to get … wild!”
