The most challenging part of this cut was finding the right balance of movement while staying as faithful as possible to the original iconic panel, while also taking advantage of what animation does best to bring the scene to life and give it a sense of dynamism.
Up until the very last moments, I wasn’t entirely confident about maintaining that balance, so l’m really happy that it resonated with so many of you in the end.

As a huge fan of Naoki Urasawa’s work, 20th Century Boys is my favorite manga and I wanted to do an animated tribute of it.
The music is also written and composed by Naoki Urasawa, it’s the intro of the Kenji song named “Bob Lennon”.
Huge thanks to my brother for helping me by animating 2 shots, they turned out to be my favorite shots in the video.
