At our parent-teacher conference last week, her teacher described her as chatty and sociable — two words I never thought I’d hear, but they made me so happy. I’ve always known her as my little leech (haha), so seeing her open up has been such a sweet change.

Found this sign the day before he left us. My first furball baby, Dolce lived up to 19 years before we finally made the heartbreaking decision that he would be better off in dog heaven, where he would be reunited with his younger sister, Princess. It was not an easy one to make —one of the most difficult! I cried over the idea. I was back and forth many times over. I was in denial. I felt guilt. I finally convinced myself that it was for the best and that I was doing the right thing. He no longer had quality of life.

Over the weekend I threw him a “celebration of life” party and fed him one of his favourite foods: steak. I’ve never met a dog that is a picky eater but he loved his meat. Family members and I shared fond memories of him, reminiscing about the time when I first got him (how furry he was!) to when I almost gave him away cuz he was so mean as a pup (biting my sleeve and growling at me - he was only teething!) to when we brought him with us to the Philippines, to when he got attacked by a raccoon, to when he would show off his many tricks for treats, to how everyone mistaking him for a pup up to when he became a senior…and many more!

Another 365 days of this dancing, bold, whimsical, charismatic beauty.
Some highlights of her 6th year: graduating from Kinder, losing her first tooth, cutting her hair for the 2nd time in her entire life, walking her first runway show and apparently a lot of dancing 😅
Other accomplishments in the last year not shown in the Reel: trained herself to ride a bike on her own, joined Girl Guide for the first time…and last, as she plans to try different things, such as take piano lessons and whatever else she’ll randomly think of and demand for. She is currently learning how to use chopsticks (since being introduced to them one time) and now uses training ones for all meals. It’s significant because she’s the only one in the family who uses them, even myself have not mastered them lol
My forever song for her: I Can’t Help Falling In Love With You, which I’ve been singing to her since she was a tiny baby ☺️ (and will use for all her birthday posts).

Well, in our case, we rarely have any! Not even phone photos —only on special occasions. The last professional ones we had done was 3 years ago. It’s definitely long overdue. So I was so excited at the chance to work with for our session. One scroll of her page and I knew she was going to capture beautiful moments for us —she did exactly that! I absolutely loooove how these turned out 😍 Narrowing down our favourites was so difficult. Stay tuned for the rest (yes, we have more!).
If you’re looking to hire a photographer for your next session, well, look no further! Eva was so easy and fun to work with. She helped direct our poses so the shots were candid and natural. Most importantly, she was great with the kids (even when Aria gave her a hard time by constantly moving and not listening 😅)

It’s only been 2 weeks in and I’m already seeing progress. The first day was impressive as Aria’s instructor made her feel at ease immediately (whereas it normally takes a while for her to warm up to anyone). After class, she told me that she loved her instructor - that comment speaks volumes! For Jade, all she had hoped to learn was how to float. Well, she was doing just that right off the bat!
And if that wasn’t mind blowing enough, Aria was literally swimming ON HER OWN within minutes of just beginning their 2nd day 🤯 Jade’s instructor reported that she needed more time to work on her form when swimming on her side but has already improved from day one. It truly helps that both of their instructors are patient, attentive and just amazing at teaching.
My girls have been having a blast and can’t wait each week!

To say that I was proud of Jade when she walked her first runway show over the weekend would be an understatement! I literally had to hold back my mama tears when she stepped out and absolutely killed it! Twice!
Not going to lie, my anxiety level went off the roof as we waited for it to begin. I knew that Jade worked hard perfecting her walk, practicing everyday and attending trainings/rehearsals weekly for the past month. But I couldn’t help myself think back to when she graduated from preschool and had to walk down the aisle - except she didn’t! As soon as she laid eyes on the crowd, she cried and refused to walk out. I thought it was going to happen here again. And the fact that we almost didn’t attend the audition because she was so nervous when we got there. Hence why I’m so amazed by her now. She has gained so much confidence just by participating in the show.
When I asked her how she felt about the whole thing after it was done, she said she had SO much fun, not even occurring to her that she was there for the whole day. She denied feeling nervous or scared — and that she would do it all over again. Her favourite part? Her reply: EVERYTHING!
Watch out fashion/modelling world, she is coming for you! 😅
