Adapted from the manga by itz, the drama is about the friendship and subsequent romance of two high schoolers with very different personalities. Aoyama Kanata is a popular student who is always surrounded by people while Senkawa Akira is more withdrawn. They don’t know each other, but they happen to look at each other from time to time. One day the two begin to interact and through deep conversations, they start to change and heal each other.
Despite the plot that didn't sound that special, I found myself pretty invested. After watching two episodes, the drama looked too good to wait so ooopsie I binge watched it all before all the other subbed episodes dropped (Now completed btw). While watching I was also reading the manga, comparing the story. I noticed there were a few differences like the order of some events but the adaptation was overall really great and the cast also looked great.

One day, while she's happily looking at the new products, a man appears behind her sniffing her. It's Natori Kotaro, the developer of the soaps she loves so much. He tells her she smells so good that he needs to smell her a little bit more to get inspiration for creating new fragrances. A very sad love story that ends in tragedy. I watched this movie several years ago and so far nothing has ever made me cry as much as this one. I almost teared up while editing these scenes so I can't imagine how hard it would be to rewatch, especially now that Haruma Miura is not with us anymore. When bad things happen to good people there is a feeling of injustice and hopelessness. Whether it's in a fictional story or in real life.
There's also has a drama version (2008) starring Koji Seto and Erena Mizusawa. This version has a few differences.
