1. Beware of the “honeymoon” period after your facelift. This is 6 weeks to 3 months.
2. Kris Jenner had allegedly a SMAS procedure in the face. SMAS facelifts vs. deep plane - in my hands an extended deep plane facelift allows for more movement of cheek, more natural result, and more durable result.
That said, revision is possible no matter how much your facelift costs (allegedly 300k in this case).
The older the patient and the worse the skin quality is higher risk of revision.
3. Standardized photos at close to 1 year after surgery is the most accurate factor to gauge success.

The sensory nerves are for the most part so small and we do not even see them during surgery. Your body will regenerate most of this sensation months to several years after surgery.
For most patients it’s not a bother - though I find it to be slightly more bothersome for my male patients due to shaving. When they first start shaving again they must be careful not to cut themselves.
In some patients there are small areas in front of the ear that are never the same as before. I haven’t had anyone regret the facelift because of this.
