Attending She’s Got Time in a city that means so much to me was life changing. I realized I haven’t been anywhere to be poured into in such a long time and SGT did not disappoint!
The energy in the room was amazing, the new women I met who are now sisters and the connectivity was top tier.
SGT also unlocked a new level of conviction and clarity. Looking back, my first time in New Orleans (2007) was God designed to becoming the woman I am today. It led me to my very first assignment with the NBA being a production assistant for NBA All Star Weekend in NOLA in 2008, assigned to the incredible With 5am call times going all the way through the post game press conference (11pm ish)…all to wake up and do it all over again. It was not for the weak but truly a defining moment in my sports journey.
I had thee best assignments with all the top playmakers. Team owners, politicians, NBA Legends, execs at major corporations. They trusted me to work the green room, study face sheets so I could have my Andy from The Devil Wears Prada moments, the commissioners press conference etc.
I have stories for days and I’m going to start sharing them in my stories as soon as I can get ahold of my life 🥴🫣🫠

7 months ago my life hit a tailspin and this by far was my worst episode yet. It hit me FAST & HARD! Never in a million years did I think I’d be out of it completely for multiple days in a row. I flew home from a Jags game late Sunday night, went to work Monday and don’t remember anything in real life until after 2pm on Thursday.
I say in real life because my state of psychosis is just as vivid as my dreams and I can recall everything! Even from past episodes. These visions were intense and scary AF! Riddled with trauma, secrets, unrealized guilt, a desire to be loved romantically, what can happen if I don’t fulfill my purpose as well as a glimpse of hell 😵💫
I’m eternally grateful to my people who show up for me without question, to my family for never making me feel like something is wrong with me and to my future spouse who will love me unconditionally. I’m also grateful for this experience because it led me to my new therapist whom I absolutely 💚
I’m glad we have a growing interest in #MentalHealth and I implore those with a clinical diagnosis to take it seriously!
I thank God that I made it back, that He kept me in the house the entire time and that I had a soft spot to land on 🙏🏾
Btw…this played out on IG and only ONE person noticed/said anything to me.
