Are you reading this on Monday, April 6, and you’re free tomorrow morning in Chicago? Throw on something purple and show up to 2650 S. California, Court Room 500 at 9:30AM to support a criminalized survivor!

Keshia Golden is a Chicago woman who defended herself against her abuser at eight months pregnant in 2022 and is now facing criminal charges by the Office of the Cook County State’s Attorney. To be specific, State’s Attorney Eileen O’Neill Burke—a woman who has sworn to protect survivors of gender-based violence, even saying that women being abused in front of their children ā€œkeeps her up at night.ā€ Burke can absolutely use her prosecutorial discretion to dismiss the charges against Keshia, who would not be here today if she did not defend herself.

Globally, 50,000 women and girls are taken from this earth (using words that won’t alert the algo demons to censor, but you know what I mean) by intimate partners or family members EVERY YEAR. We have a duty to honor their lives and fight like hell for those who survived and are now punished.

If you’re reading this after Tuesday, April 7, and the State’s Attorney still hasn’t dropped the charges, there are still ways to show up for Keshia and all criminalized survivors. Follow and hear more of Keshia’s story, sign her letter of support, and tap into the next action.

Prioritizing printing my illustrations has been a challenge this year, but we made it happen! I love that this artwork will get to exist beyond digital shares and into people’s hands and homes.

You can get a few of these in the online shop, but if you’re in Chicago, here’s where you can get ALL of these postcards and stickers IRL in December:

Saturday 12/6 | 4-8pm
Mini Radical Print Fair

Sunday 12/14 | 1-5pm
Holiday Makers Market

Sunday 12/14 | 5*-9pm
4 Year Anniversary Mercado

(I’ll be there closer to 6pm)

Bonus: My partner will also be vending their awesome prints at all places as well, so pull up and support living queer & trans artists while also getting your holiday shopping done! āœ”ļø

šŸ’«New art for community offerings now available at and šŸ’«

1ļøāƒ£ I collaborated with to create a poster that can bolster new and existing efforts to protect our communities from ICE. In partnership with orgs like Community Justice Exchange,,, they identified strategies and tactics that communities are deploying to stop the construction of a new detention facility, interrupt the kidnapping of migrants, challenge collusion and complicity with deportations, and stop the flow of funds, resources, data, and legitimacy to the machine. And then, I got to work! It can sometimes be challenging to create an accessible poster that aims to communicate big strategies and tactics, but I’m happy with how it turned out.

The poster is free to download for print (or purchase) and sized for sharing on social media, including fillable formats you can use to promote your own call to action or event – all on their website. AND, the poster is paired with a MINI-TOOLKIT that shares examples of campaigns to join or serve as inspiration for starting your own! always coming through with the comprehensive resources.

2ļøāƒ£ There are so many very powerful visuals that circulate in moments of crisis, but then many of them disappear in the ether of this app. I love when creates ā€œgraphics care packagesā€ that consolidates themed visuals all into one place, so I collaborated with our graphics committee to create a graphics care package that can support existing and emerging efforts to keep our communities safe against ICE.

Packages 1 and 2 are now available for download at We got lots of submissions, so we’re releasing the packages in sets. We decided to leave the form open/rolling, so it’s not too late to submit your existing work. We’re hoping to create a package with city-specific visuals (i.e. ICE out of Chicago, New Yorkers say ICE is not welcome, etc), so encouraging you to submit yours today if you haven’t already! Including some of my favorites from the first two packages in this post (artists tagged).
New postcard print from! "The reciprocal nature of interdependence is my reminder of how we practice caring for this earth—giving and showing up for each other with what we have, asking for what we need, opening ourselves to receiving, taking what we need, knowing the exchange won’t always be equal, but trusting that it will come to you in time. Interdependence is a daily practice towards liberation, and it grounds us in our deep connection with this earth." Find this at Justseeds!
Update: SOLD OUT but more are on their way! New postcard print from in the shop! "Our relationships to each other are the only way to ensure our collective survival. Each act of solidarity we take pulls at the threads of empire and threatens its existence." Find it at Justseeds!
šŸ“¢CALL FOR ART: ABOLISH ICE / ICE OUT OF EVERYWHERE šŸ“¢ submit via link in bio or here:

Communities across the U.S. are coming together and summoning their rage in the face of rising fascism. While ICE kidnappings, detentions, and deportations have increased across several cities in recent months, so have bold, creative and rapid response efforts, and a growing demand to abolish ICE, a U.S. immigration system inherently violent by design.

We’re calling on visual artists everywhere to submit graphic art that will further amplify and support existing and emerging efforts to keep our communities safe against ICE. Graphic art should have messaging that is pro-im/migrant justice, anti-kidnapping / deportation / detention, and overall pushes our collective imaginations to envision and organize towards a future without ICE and without borders.

Deadline to submit is Thursday, November 20, 2025.

Submitted, chosen graphic art will become part of a ā€˜graphics package’ available for free download on the Justseeds website. Images are intended to be shared online and/or printed out and distributed. We will encourage them to be used as imagery for flyers, action announcements, demonstrations, in home and storefront windows, and any other public spaces. Images that are part of the package are not for profit.

šŸ“¢CONVOCATORIA DE ARTE: ABOLIR A LA MIGRA / ICE FUERA DE TODOS LADOS šŸ“¢

I create art when I feel pulled towards panic and despair. In moments of crisis, it becomes my aid for shifting my attention to listening more intentionally to folks on the ground, tuning in more deeply to what is needed, and figuring out what and how I can contribute.

And so as always, despair and panic cannot have me (!!) because I am SO moved by Chicagoans showing up for each other against the terrorizing of our communities by 🧊. I am seeing intergenerational, multi-racial, cross-class solidarity taking place everywhere; some folks coming together for the first time and some who have been building relationships for years to mobilize effectively in this moment. People are putting their bodies on the line at Broadview and across neighborhoods, and others are working hard to distribute material resources (hotlines, mutual aid, art, zines, whistles!) as far and wide as possible.

As I work on a poster for movement orgs responding in this moment (coming soon), I came across this video (slide 2) of Cook County Commissioner Tara Stamps speaking at a press conference. Her call to ā€œsummon the courageā€ to protect each other really struck something in me. We need to channel and find our courage however we can! There are so many places and ways to plug in. I am including just a handful of local orgs and people that have been inspiring me to summon my courage. šŸ’ŖšŸ¼

First, ask yourself: What are your audacious freedom dreams? Then, ask yourself: What is your appetite for risk?

This piece was inspired by the powerful words of in one of her recent newsletters—I recommend following her and subscribing if you’re not already. The full quote is in the next slide.

Not to go on a tangent but for a minute I was into reading ā€œself-helpā€ books and blogs on habit formation and productivity techniques. There are a lot of benefits and drawbacks to the ā€œrulesā€ (I like to say choices) to build desired practices into your daily life. One quote from the book Atomic Habits actually comes to mind as I reflect on what it means to build a rebellious culture of care in these times: ā€œEvery action we take is a vote for the kind of person we want to become.ā€ Yes! Read it again.

With so much distraction and real harm coming our way under this administration on a daily basis, we have to remember that we also have a daily choice in the kind of person we want to become, not only in this moment, but for the long haul. It’s an ongoing practice, not a one-time event. And whether you’re an artist or not, our everyday practices are creative practices. Having a radical imagination means we don’t accept what’s in front of us. We can be rebellious. We must be, actually.

More inspiration from in slides 3 and 4, in slide 5, in slide 6, in slide 7, in slides 8 and 9, in slide 10, in slide 11, and in slide 12.
