This is one of my favourite things to use in a room makeover - MDF beadboard. Mine is from - it’s very easy to cut to size using a jigsaw. I bought the 1220mm size to avoid having to cut down the length in most places. I’ve attached to the wall with a nail gun (Watch out for wires and pipes) and that’s it! You can template around windowsills or pipes with your jigsaw / drill bit. The only power tools I’ve used are a drill and jigsaw for this DIY.
And look if it’s not a perfect fit like some of my panels, no drama. This is why we have filler!
My 40s are going to be my best decade. Creating the beautiful home I feel happy in. I don’t really do DIY to save money (though that’s a nice side effect!) I do it to prove to myself I can. I learn as I go. Join for the ride and let’s learn together!

I think my favourite bit is the Croydon coming out - he’s addressed his letter to ‘Farfar Christmas’ 😭🥰 so cute!
had everything we needed and the Noris range is perfect for little ones: high quality, easy to use, very affordable and highly pigmented too. I particularly liked the watercolour tray as the colours were rich and easy to work with and Leo loved using the pastels.
I really recommend the writing pens too - like most children his age he writes with pencil usually, so these pens made him feel grown up and were easy to use.

I have never once had turkey for Christmas dinner. They are massive and take hours to cook and I only have a small family. We usually have chicken. Basically a Sunday roast in party hats! The point is, just eat your favourite food. Even if it’s - shock horror - beef, or fish or curry, or pizza.
And let’s just talk about the money for a minute. Present buying costs a fortune. This year I will be doing Leo’s stocking but he cares far more about the fun of unwrapping than what’s in it so it’ll just be small things - chocolate treats, some notepads to draw in, little wrestlers (his current obsession). I might even rewrap some bits from last year tbh!
And just please, make a little time for yourself to rest and pamper and have some downtime.
I’ve made the decision to have a sober Christmas - I have too much on at the moment that’s stressing me out, so booze is off the menu. And I am also going to spend a lot of time at the gym and the spa (I’m lucky that my gym has a spa) and reading - something I barely do anymore. I’ve filled the house with decorations because they make me happy but I’m just going to enjoy them for me, not because I have 25 social events to cater and pay for 🤣

I’ve had a stressful time at work recently - nothing bad, a lot of quite mind bending things to organise (tax, accounts, interviews - grown up things 😂) and honestly just tuning out of that for a few hours with a good friend, some seriously delicious mulled wine and a lovely stash of foliage was absolute bliss. Thank you for inviting me 🩷

We have used products from the Noris range which is a budget friendly range that’s great for budding artists! I liked the writing pens as they are easy to work with a good practice for Léo who usually writes with a pencil. Perfect stocking fillers!
