We celebrated my Gran’s 94th birthday, rented a 15ft U-Haul, and drove 2200 miles (3500 km) driven in 4 days… then finally home, rest, art, and surf!
Annnnnd then this past week was met with a gathering of fabulous people 💃

My life has changed so much in the last 6 years moving countries and changing careers… I have only kited a handful of times since I left the tour but I think I’m ready to get back out there a little bit:)
I learnt so much about the world and myself during these years, it was indeed a wild journey across the globe chasing the podium and it’s glory haha and I am grateful for all the lessons along the way. Now, I find myself able to relax into my routines here in Mexico with a little less travel.
I realize I have taken the flow state I practiced in kiting into my art career where I can focus in on painting for sometimes 6+ hours at a time on good days. To tune out the world and all its judgement, to be in the moment and just focus on a few movements. Annnnnd then to put it out there for people to judge but competition I am used to judgement..!
I used to fly around the world for a panel of judges to critique my style and performance… I learned how to not take it personally and that has helped me so much as I have entered the art world.
Pieces can feel like a part of who you are and it can be vulnerable to share them…
So many lessons, so much gratitude.
Life is a miracle, thank you to all who have helped me through these stages, I wouldn’t be who I am today without you.
