Oké, dan echt klaar met de HYROX Rotterdam spam.. Paar dagen kunnen en mogen nagenieten van m’n eerste solo en voor een eerste keer echt wel tevreden met m’n tijd (doel was onder de 1:30 🫣).
Maar damnnn ik weet dat er echt nog veel meer in zit…
Getergd om lekker door te trainen en wie weet wat er dan voor tijd uit gaat komen, wetende dat ik zeker harder kan 🚀

2,5 maand naar dit moment toe getraind, met tussendoor ook nog even de New York Half Marathon. Geen idee waar ik aan toe zou zijn in m’n eentje. Het zou een mentale battle worden, dat wist ik zeker.
Ik had een plan in mijn hoofd; niet te hard starten, steady op de stations en rond de 5:00 min/km lopen om weer m’n hartslag onder controle te krijgen, wetende dat hardlopen mijn sterkste punt zou zijn. And it worked!
Super trots op hoe mijn eerste solo race verliep en hier mag ik echt nog wel even van nagenieten. Maar, ik weet nu ook waar tijd te winnen valt, dus misschien zit er ooit nog wel een sub 80 in…
Eerst staat HYROX Heerenveen nog voor de deur, waar ik weer gezellig een mixed double ga doen. LETS GO! 🚀

Nog een kleine twee weekjes en dan is het zover. Op zondag 19 april doe ik mijn eerste solo Hyrox.
Om me zo goed mogelijk voor te bereiden volg ik in aanloop naar de Hyrox een trainingsschema van bij.
Het was een pittige week met veel korte intensieve workouts, km’s met verzuurde benen en mentale uitdagingen. Maar, ik krijg steeds meer het gevoel dat ik er klaar voor ben. De gezonde spanning begint te stijgen! 🚀

Halve marathon in New York City, wat een droom! Starten in Brooklyn, over de Brooklyn Bridge richting Manhatten, om vervolgens over Times Square te lopen en te finishen in Central Park. Klinkt als een droom én dat was het ook!
Alleen maar rondgelopen met een big smile en genoten van de atmosfeer en de indrukwekkende omgeving. Twijfel je om eens in NYC te lopen? DOEN!
