Esta mañana, en el Patio Vitral del Congreso del Estado, se llevó a cabo la presentación del libro #HijasDeLaHistoria2 de la extraordinaria historiadora Isabel Revuelta Poo. 💜
Mi recomendación: léanlo. Desde las primeras páginas, su narrativa logra atraparte y hacerte sentir parte de cada historia. Puedes imaginar lo que sintieron los arqueólogos al descubrir a la Reina Roja o sentir cercanas a las protagonistas que marcaron el rumbo de México.
Pero hubo algo que tocó profundamente mi corazón: encontrar entre sus páginas a una gran mujer tlaxcalteca, Tecuelhuétzin, hija de Xicoténcatl el Viejo.
Muchas veces juzgamos el pasado desde la comodidad del presente, pero jamás podremos comprender del todo lo que vivieron nuestros ancestros: guerras, alianzas, supervivencia y decisiones tomadas en medio del miedo y la incertidumbre. Tecuelhuétzin tenía apenas 14 años cuando su vida cambió para siempre.
Pensar en ello me hizo reflexionar profundamente sobre las mujeres, sobre nuestras luchas y sobre algo que mencionó Isabel y que se quedó conmigo todo el día: hoy tenemos algo que durante siglos muchas mujeres no tuvieron… el poder de decisión.
Gracias a Itsel, Eréndira, Mirza y a la diputada Maribel Cervantes por tan hermosa presentación. Y gracias a Isabel Revuelta Poo por compartir su talento, sensibilidad e historia con tantas personas.
También fue muy especial poder compartir un poco de mi vocación y de mi campaña #TheClimateChangeBag, una iniciativa con la que busco visibilizar la conexión entre el cambio climático y la pérdida de biodiversidad.
Hoy fue uno de esos días que alimentan el alma. Un día enriquecedor, humano y profundamente especial por coincidir con personas que admiro. 🌿
