What may feel different in this series is the absence of something that has long been central to my language: color.
This body of work emerged as a kind of parallel reality, developed in collaboration with Atelier Luer. They recognized a dimension within my work that could expand in a new direction, and invited me to create a series in dialogue with their spaceโmore restrained, more attuned to a specific architectural and aesthetic context. References such as Frank Lloyd Wright and his drawings became part of that conversation.
I embraced the challenge immediately. What began as an external request became an internal discovery. Working within a reduced palette,monochromes, sepia tones, an almost antique sensibility,I found a language I didnโt know I was capable of accessing.
There is something humbling in being given a framework, a kind of โhomework,โ and allowing it to reveal new possibilities. In this case, it opened a door.
But this is not a renunciation of color. It is an expansion.

Perhaps what time has taught me most is where to place my attention: to recognize the good, and to give it more weight.
Scottsdale was generous. I met new friends and inspiring artists. I was honored to place my work with a local collector. I began relationships with two new galleries and opened conversations with interior designers in Arizona. My website saw new visitors, and part of the work I brought with me is now on its way to a gallery in Connecticut.
Beyond the professional, there was discovery. A new landscape. The quiet wonder of cacti. A visit to the Botanical Garden in Phoenix. The best margaritas. And an Airbnb that felt unexpectedly like home.
So many positive moments that, naturally, the rest begins to fade.
