“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake” (Psalm 23:1-3).

Wow, it’s been 3 years since I last posted a photo here. Life got busy for me, and it hasn’t always been smooth sailing. At my lowest, I was introduced to Christianity. I’m deeply grateful to all my friends, family, colleagues and the community for supporting me on my faith journey.

In July, I visited the newly opened Biidaasige Park located on Ookwemin Minising, a new island in the Port Lands. For me, visiting this park reminded me of Psalm 23 – a peaceful place of rest and refreshment, where the soul can be restored. It also provides a beautiful view of the Toronto skyline surrounded by the Don River, as well as unique play areas you wouldn’t find anywhere else in Toronto (ziplines!). I would encourage you all to check it out next time you’re in downtown Toronto.

Thank you so much for reading and for your continued support! Happy Thanksgiving! 🍁😊

Sometimes you make choices in life and sometimes choices make you.

Swipe to check out both versions of this shot. Which one do you like more?

Wow, time flies by so fast that it has already been a year since I last posted here. In the blink of an eye, I graduated from UofT for the second time and started my career of choice in healthcare as a Medical Radiation Technologist. Photography and making a difference in people's lives have always been my passion, and it’s great that I get to do both at my job.

I decided to visit last Friday, back to where it all began for me. It was nostalgic being on campus once again and hiking in the valley. We even spotted a deer in the evening!

Special thanks to for being my model and inspiration for this photoshoot! ✨

Thank you so much for all your support and for sticking around! Have a wonderful week! 😊

Life begins on the other side of despair.

I’m back and I’m thrilled to share with you all my submission for “On The Line.” It is a community NFT project that brings together 75 of Toronto’s top photographers, each showcasing a local subway station.

To understand life and to live it properly we have to go through a transformation – we have to experience various difficulties, problems and even despair. It is fair to say that our lives have been a blur since the pandemic began, and that getting back to normal won’t be easy.

Special thanks to my friend for inviting me to be a part of this amazing project! ✨

Phase 2 of “On The Line” is now live on. Go check it out and support all the other amazing artists who participated!

Do not go gentle into that good night,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Wow can’t believe 2020 is finally coming to an end. I know I haven’t been posting much lately because of online school and pandemic stress. I hope you enjoy my final post for this year.

I haven’t posted a single shot of the Gooderham Building before, so I decided to edit this one from ’s #xmasffa editing challenge. To enhance the winter aspect of this image, I added snow by using the noise and motion blur filters.

Special thanks to my favourite photographers and for hosting this editing challenge! ✨

Thank you so much for your support and for helping me hit 9k followers! I hope 2021 is a better year for us all and stay safe everyone! Happy New Year! 🥂

You're not my homeland anymore, so what am I defending now?

What is everyone up to lately? Have you participated in an FFA yet?

For the past two months, I’ve been editing RAWs from various photographers and uploading them to my stories. You can check them out in my highlights as well.

Out of all the edits that I have done, I decided to post this one because I like it the most and it reminds me of how much I miss shooting in downtown Toronto.

I finally finished my summer semester, so now I have the month off until September! Yay, more time to edit and catch up on all the movies and tv shows I’ve been wanting to watch. Currently, I’m watching “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay” kdrama, highly recommend it.

Special thanks to for hosting this editing challenge! ✨

In a time of destruction, create something.

What does being a visible minority mean to you?

May is #AsianHeritageMonth in Canada.

It is meant to be a time to reflect on and celebrate the contributions that Asian Canadians make to the growth and prosperity of Canada. This year it’s more important than ever to celebrate our culture and recognize the struggles that our families went through to settle in a new land in order to create a better life for us.

Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been a rise in anti-Asian racism and xenophobia around the world. As a member of the Asian Canadian community, this angers me.

I know that a lot of us worry for our own safety because of the spike in anti-Asian sentiment, but hatred and ignorance shouldn’t stop us from being proud of our identities.

I was especially drawn by this shot from ’s #jordhammondffa editing challenge because it made me reflect on what it meant to be a second generation Chinese Canadian. I remember my grandma used to tell me stories of her life as a farmer back in China and how she later moved to Hong Kong.

I’m proud of my parents for persevering in a country that hasn’t always felt like home. I often think about it as inspiration to work harder so that my dreams can come to life.

May we never ever shed another tear for today
Because oh, I know that there will be better days.

What is everyone up to in quarantine these days?

It’s been more than 6 weeks since the lockdown began in Toronto. I haven’t left my house at all and have finally finished my exams for the semester. It didn’t take long for me to realize that I ran out of content to post from Toronto. Thankfully, I came across ‘s #tomarcherffa editing challenge amongst many others.

I was originally drawn by this shot in particular because of its close similarity to Banff. A closer examination yields that this is in fact taken in Lago Di Braies, part of the Dolomites in northeastern Italy.

Special thanks to for hosting this editing challenge! ✨

Check out my story highlights for the before & after and let me know if you want to see me participate in more FFAs.

Thank you so much for your patience and continued support! Enjoy the rest of your week and stay safe everyone!

Some of us, we're hardly ever here.
The rest of us, we're born to disappear.
How do I stop myself from being just a number?

Do you like snow?

Toronto hasn’t been getting much snow lately, but you don’t have to wait anymore! We’ll be getting about 5 cm of snow and ice pellets tomorrow, which isn’t too bad but it’s probably going to mess up your commute.

Stay safe everyone!❄ Thank you so much for your support! Enjoy the rest of your week! 💙

We can’t go back to the way that we used to love.

What are your goals for this year?

Personally, I would like to be more independent and continue with my photography journey.

Over the past year, I’ve discovered and developed my love for photography and met a lot of awesome people. I’m so honoured and thankful to be a part of this wonderful photography community on Instagram.

Thank you so much for all your support in 2019! Here’s to another year of creativity, happiness and passion! May 2020 be kind to us all. Happy New Year! 🎊🥂
