I may not recognize this girl anymore.

Looking at this photo, I see someone who was constantly building. Building cakes. Building a business. Building a life she hoped would finally feel secure.

What I didn’t realize then was that Allah was building me.

This Eid feels different.

For the first time, I fasted on the Day of Arafah with a deeper understanding of what it truly represents. For the first time, I felt the essence of Hajj beyond the rituals. Millions of people standing before Allah with nothing but their hopes, their fears, their mistakes, and their prayers.

This year taught me that sometimes the greatest journeys are not measured in miles, but in surrender.

I left behind a life I spent years building. I grieved dreams that didn’t unfold the way I imagined. I started over in a new country. I questioned myself more times than I can count.

Yet through all of it, Allah brought me closer to Him.

The things I once thought were my greatest losses became the very things that led me back to gratitude, patience, tawakkul, and a deeper understanding that His plans are always better than my own.

So no, I may not recognize this girl anymore.

But for the first time in a long time, I feel like I’m becoming someone I was always meant to be.

Eid Mubarak to you and your families. May Allah accept our fasting, our du’as, our repentance, and our worship. May He forgive our sins, heal our hearts, ease our hardships, and grant us what is best for us in this life and the next. May He bring peace to every troubled heart, relief to every struggling soul, shifa to those who are ill, rizq to those who are worried, and guidance to those who are searching for their way.

And may every sincere prayer whispered on the Day of Arafah be answered in the most beautiful way. Ameen. 🤍🌙✨
This is the first time I’m being able to bring to life what I’ve always envisioned for myself and for Iqwee’s.

Not just teaching people how to pipe buttercream flowers or decorate cupcakes. But creating an actual experience. Something beautiful intentional warm and inspiring. Something that makes people slow down connect create and leave feeling happy they came.
I got to bring out a part of myself I think I had buried for a very long time.

And honestly the appreciation I’ve felt here has healed me in ways I cannot explain. For the first time in a long time I feel like my work is truly valued. Not just consumed. Valued.

People noticed the tiny details. The effort. The atmosphere. The softness behind everything.
And it made me realize something really emotional.

I feel like I’m finally beginning the way I always imagined I would. Which feels strange to even say because I never thought I’d get the chance to begin again. I never imagined life would require me to start over in the first place let alone give me the opportunity to rebuild things in a way that feels more aligned with who I truly am.

Life can break you in ways you never expect and for a while I genuinely thought that version of me was gone forever. So being able to create again with this much peace clarity and
purpose feels really emotional to me.

I genuinely feel excited about where this is all headed again.
I believe Iqwee’s is back 🌸
Stay tuned for the next experience because we’re only getting started.

Sometimes all you need is a tiny bit of inspiration 🌸
I just added palette knife florals to my cupcake line and I’m still in awe of what just happened. 😱

This was my first time ever using palette knives. No safety net, no perfect moment; just deciding to finally try the thing I had been putting off.

And this is what came out of it!

It made me realize something real. We wait so long to feel ready, when most of the time the skill is already sitting inside us, quietly building from everything we’ve seen, practiced, failed at, and learned over time.

Not confidence. Courage.

Because confidence is a result, not a requirement. It shows up after you take the step, not before.

We think we need more time, more practice, more clarity but sometimes what we actually need is to stop overthinking and give ourselves permission to begin, even if it’s messy, even if it’s uncertain.

Today I showed up, trusted my hands, and let the process unfold. And in doing that, I unlocked something I didn’t even know I was ready for.

That’s the part no one talks about. Growth doesn’t always feel like progress in the moment. Sometimes it feels like hesitation, doubt, even avoidance. Until one day, you move anyway and everything you’ve been carrying finally clicks into place.

If you’ve been holding back on something, waiting for the right time, this is it.

Start before you feel ready. Try before you feel confident.

You might just surprise yourself in ways you didn’t think were possible.

This is just the beginning!🌸
