The obi from we used for this outfit appears in a lot of my night shoots, but this was the first time I ever used this particular kimono. It’s a funky one for sure.
We did this shoot back when night shoots were reserved for summer only, but now you can get one anytime!

What is time? I am posting this from Ito, where I’m hosting a yukata trip this weekend. I just came back from Aizu like yesterday 🙈
Anyway here is the last portion of photos from the Aizu trip, the girls really put on a fashion show and I took so many photos, they should be seen by some people at least. Please do check them out! Maybe someone will feel inspired to start their own kimono journey 💕

Photo heavy post, you’ll see I meant it when I said the schedule was PACKED! I think in 3 days we did everything that there is to do in Aizu Wakamatsu 🤣
This trip was my test run — I researched and organized everything entirely by myself, and while I wanted everyone to experience Aizu to the fullest, I admit I made the schedule maybe a little too busy. Next time I’ll make more time for kimono shopping 😎

I think the highlight of the trip was Yamada Momen workshop tour! We had a very nice staff member tell us a bit about the history of Aizu Cotton and what the production looks like currently. I highly recommend everyone to go, Aizu Wakamatsu is truly a lovely place ❤️
8 kimono loving people, 3 days in Aizu Wakamatsu, lots of activities! I’ll start this trip report with all the cool outfits we wore.
I of course wore my Aizu Momen kimono — the gray/blue/red is from and the blue/black/pink is from! Footwear choice for the trip was of course Aizu paulownia geta from ✌️
Make sure to check out all the slides, it was a real kimono fashion show on the streets of Aizu Wakamatsu! I love how everyone has their own cool style, little fun accessories for a personalized touch, mixes of modern and antique — that’s exactly what I love about kimono!
These are from the second half of December and also a few are from January!

Last one for the current theme which is “most popular items in my collection”! This green tsukesage made an appearance in the previous post and honestly many others, it’s top 5 most popular items! Recently I got some more items in this shade of green for that reason 😎
This shoot is from last year’s end of Sakura season! Yae Sakura and wisteria make an appearance 🌸

I’ll have you know that I recently organized a 3 day trip to Aizu Wakamatsu and I only took these with me — climbing up and down Sazaedo in them maybe wasn’t the easiest, but other than that they were comfy!
Two girls from my trip ordered their own pair, so the funky geta owner club is growing ✨

Very often, emails I receive start with “Dear INKIMONO team,” but there is actually only one person managing it all — me. I’m the manager, stylist, dresser, hairstylist, photographer, editor, social media marketer, accountant etc etc.
What I mean to say is that change can begin with only one person. I believe that a small ripple can eventually become a big wave.
We can all be the change, one ripple at a time.

3. I am always working on expanding my kimono collection to accommodate various needs! I have several plus-size pieces, sometimes I adjust kimono myself (I learned wasai, kimono sewing, for that purpose) and have developed my own unique dressing techniques to accommodate larger sizes!

仕事について短く説明するのは難しいので、これからはこの動画で紹介します！INKIMONOではお客様の要望や好みに合わせて着物のスタイリング、着付け、ヘアセット、そしてポートレート撮影を全部一人でトータルプロデュースをやっています。好きで得意なことがすべて詰まった「天職」です。
