Lip filler done well isn’t about size. It’s about shape, working with your patients natural anatomy, and avoiding a cookie cutter approach.
The lips don’t exist in isolation — they’re framed by the philtrum columns above, the oral commissures at the corners, and the chin below. Then you have to take into account how they work in proportion with the rest of their facial features. When we treat the lip alone without considering the surrounding architecture, results can look heavy, projected, or “done.”
The approach I love? Supporting the frame first. Subtle filler or relaxing the depressor muscles around the mouth creates a natural lift that lets the lip sit beautifully — before we even touch the vermillion border.
