Hace unos días, una clienta me comentó que compraba Indra porque era una marca libre de plástico, pero en su último pedido, las barras venían envueltas en una película de poliolefina.
Durante casi 10 años me resistí por completo a usar plástico. Siempre utilizamos papel encerado, pero como marca nos enfrentamos a realidades que ya no podíamos ignorar.
La razón número uno es nuestro clima. En Hermosillo las temperaturas llegan hasta los 50 grados y, aunque nuestras fórmulas resisten altas temperaturas, el verdadero problema eran los envíos. Dentro del camión de la paquetería, esa temperatura sube a 60 o hasta 70°C. El papel encerado no aguantaba, las cajas se manchaban de grasa y las paqueterías nos regresaban el paquete.
Teníamos que pagar el envío de ida, el de regreso y otra vez volver a mandarlo. Perder hasta 600 pesos por un solo envío, multiplicado por meses, se volvió un gasto insostenible para una marca independiente. Además, en las tiendas físicas, con el tiempo la etiqueta se manchaba por los aceites, el producto perdía su aroma, cambiaba la textura y dejaba de verse estético, provocando que ya no se vendiera.
Pero el punto más importante es tu salud y la higiene. Esto es cosmética que va directo a tu piel y a tu cuero cabelludo. No se me hace justo que si compras en una tienda física, te lleves un producto que otras personas ya tocaron con las manos sucias.
Sé que la palabra "plástico" asusta, pero elegimos plástico de poliolefina: es de grado alimenticio y es 100% reciclable. Mientras una botella de champú normal pesa entre 50 y 100 gramos de plástico, este film protector no pesa ni 0.010 gramos. El impacto es infinitamente menor.
