What I’m loving is the length!
What I want to change is the shape. If you’ve been tuned in with me for some years, you know I dyed my locs. I felt that the dye damaged my hair making it stringy, dry, & less full. Since then, I’ve fully cut off my dyed ends. But now my hair is still layered.
At this point, I’d love my final length to be like this but all of my hair be one length no layers. That will take time.
The dilemma I am having is deciding if I want to cut it significantly shorter (maybe bra strap length) to get rid of the majority of what’s left of the layers. A plus to a bigger cut would be curls with more volume because there would be less weight & shorter self-retightenings. Also, what shape? I actually have never liked the V shape that I have. I prefer a blunt straight cut or slight curve.

General Notes:
- I used 54 long pipe cleaner curlers
- I don’t add extra product. I just use oil on my scalp & apply the curlers on freshly washed hair.
- I air dry my curls. I think that having the curlers in even when my hair is dry allows my curls to last longer since they’re holding the shape of the curlers.
- Sliding & condensing the curls on the curlers helps with drying time
