Zwischen Saloppe und MordgrundbrΓΌcke entstand Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts aus ehemaligen Weinbergen ein prachtvolles neugotisches Schloss mit weitlΓ€ufigem Parkanlage.
Erbaut wurde es ab 1859 fΓΌr den Kaufmann Johann Daniel Souchay, der seinen Lebensmittelpunkt nach Dresden verlegte und hier einen herrschaftlichen Wohnsitz schaffen lieΓ.
Der groΓe Landschaftspark mit seinen Blumenanlagen machte Schloss Eckberg spΓ€ter weit ΓΌber Dresden hinaus bekannt. Besonders zur Rosen- und TulpenblΓΌte strΓΆmten jedes Jahr Tausende Besucher an den Elbhang. πΉβ¨
Auch der bekannte Unternehmer Ottomar Heinsius von Mayenburg, Erfinder der Zahncreme βChlorodontβ, prΓ€gte die Geschichte des Schlosses und gestaltete den Park mit groΓer Leidenschaft weiter.
Nach bewegten Jahrzehnten und umfangreicher Sanierung erstrahlt Schloss Eckberg heute wieder als eines der schΓΆnsten historischen Anwesen Dresdens β als Hotel mit traumhaftem Blick ΓΌber das Elbtal.
