もうそろそろ咲いているかなと思って、山へフデリンドウに会いに行ってきました。
雪のアイロンをかけたように平らな林床、乾いた落ち葉の重なりの中から、小さな青紫の花がそっと顔を出していました。
まるでモノクロ写真の中に一輪だけ色を残したようで、とても華やか。
「今年も会えたね」と声をかけたくなる、そんな春のひと時でした。

I went into the mountains, hoping to find the Fringed Gentians blooming.
On the forest floor, ironed flat by melting snow, a small bluish-purple flower quietly emerged from layers of dry leaves.
It looked like a single bloom left in color in an otherwise monochrome photo—so vivid, so graceful.
I found myself whispering, “We’ve met again this spring.”
