The evening will also be a gathering, bringing together artists from across Evanston.
This includes those working in visual arts, theater, dance, film and the literary arts many of whom have been part of ongoing conversations through Coffee & Practice.

Bridge at 909 is the City of Evanston’s rotating exhibition program located at 909 Davis Street, transforming a prominent downtown lobby into an accessible public-facing arts space. The initiative provides professional visibility for artists particularly Evanston-connected creatives.
We do this while bringing contemporary art directly into the daily life of residents, workers, and visitors. Artists keep 100% of any sales.

For a private client. This painting has been an integral part of my life for the last 7 months— There are so many things I want to say, so many changes that I’ve gone through as a man, and so many things I’ve learned through the process of making this, but honestly I’ve been sitting in the bittersweet haze of “it’s done” for the last few days. Kind of depressing to move on from this experience, which is a very new feeling for me. Usually I finish work and I’m nothing but exited to share it with the world, but this felt…. Far more personal, far more quiet and far more meaningful than making an artwork usually does.
I’m going to take the time to come back and talk about this painting, do real documentation/photos and speak about the process at length soon:
from building and stretching the canvas to translating the drawing to the actual process of putting paint to canvas, I also want to sit down and write a meaningful description of what the work means, but for this weekend - rest.
Grateful to be able to have made something this size and for it to look exactly how I imagined. When you stand in front of it, it sings. Kind of strange to think I made this. Honestly it’s also kind of weird to have to find meaning in a new work, but I’m grateful for the experience. And now open for commissions 🩻🌍🛠️🌱
