Happy book birthday to The Reimagining of Thornwood House, out today from and a huge thank you for the digital review copy!
This is a phenomenal cozy fantasy with perfectly balanced stakes along the lines of Legends & Lattes. We’ve got a sentient house, a magical mystery, and some solid found family vibes.
The writing and world building in this one are spot on, and I loved the characters. Especially Thornwood House.
Highly, highly recommend!
Big thanks to for the gifted copy of this book, which explores working with the moon phases for manifestation and intention setting.
I really enjoyed this take on working with the moon, which is different from other books I’ve read on the topic. A balance between active and resting phases, plus journal prompts and gorgeous full art pages, make this a book I know I’ll come back to time and time again.
I also love the Lunar Abundance deck that goes along with it as a gentle reminder for how to work with mama moon. Highly recommend!

Mr. Your Book Friend and I visited our favorite local Thai place before doing some errands earlier. Now, I’m locked in for a long weekend working due to all the gaming showcases scheduled for the next few days.
Still hoping to get in some time with my current read though, because it’s out next week!
Looks like I need to hit up the bookstore soon to grab volume 5! We’ll be in uncharted territory since this book ends where the anime left off (if my memory serves me, which is always debatable tbh). I am stoked to see what happens next!

I’ve had my eye on for a while, and when they ran a recent buy one get one promotion, I decided to treat myself. The results did NOT disappoint!
I love a book box that pairs coffee and books, and the surprise element here is extra fun. Really looking forward to reading these (and I’ve already dug into the coffee, of course).

The Queer Tarot is a stunning and colorful deck full of inclusive new takes on the original Rider Waite artwork.
I also just got my copy of the Sailor Moon inspired Pretty Prism tarot! This deck is so, so pretty. And it doesn’t pretend Sailor Neptune and Sailor Uranus are “cousins” like the anime dub of my youth did lol.

I have always kind of wanted a copy of this delightful book (I read it on audio). But it’s hard for me to justify buying a book I’ve already read in another format. That price, though? That I can do.
Fun fact: I worked at Tj Maxx all through college. I’d have been a goner if the book section looked like this when I was there!
