I can officially confirm that the Lake Placid track is not for the faint-hearted 👀
Bruises in places I can’t explain, easily one of the fastest tracks I’ve ever raced… and just to spice things up, we had days at –16°C ❄️
The last two weeks delivered some incredible results and our best performances yet in the two-man.
Week 1: Mica and I placed 3rd and 4th 🥉
Week 2: I had the pleasure of racing with Jamaica’s young champ Adana, finishing 12th and 4th in the Pan American Cup 🇯🇲
That makes 12 weeks on ice, pushing my body to the absolute limit and giving everything I had. There were plenty of challenges along the way l managing illness and medication while competing was far from easy but I made it through 💪
Now… I wait.
Waiting to find out if we’ve done enough to qualify for the 2026 Winter Olympics, and whether I’ve been selected as Jamaica’s Brakewoman 🇯🇲
No matter the outcome, I’m incredibly proud of myself for leaving my comfortable London life behind and chasing my dream of becoming an Olympian.

Being back home for Christmas was everything I needed and more. Spending time away reminded me just how beautiful the people in my life truly are.
I wasn’t born and bred in London, but it’s a place I’ve called home for over 16 years. Many see London as the big smoke that never sleeps and while that may be true, it’s also incredibly rich in culture. Because of that, this mixed-race kid from Bath was able to move here, grow, and learn so much about myself along the way.
As we head into the final stretch of Olympic qualifiers, I’m feeling refreshed and recharged after a week at home. It’s safe to say I’m ready to give it everything.

👉🏽 I am officially a commonwealth games athlete & that was the goal. The second goal was to place top 8 in the Commonwealth & I did that despite not lifting how I would have liked to.

🇯🇲 I had so much fun out on the platform & it was important for me to do so because I didn’t want to take that moment for granted. I had a stadium full of friends, family, loved ones & followers. The truth is the only time that happens is at a wedding or a funeral. Yesterday was a celebration of what happens when you don’t give up 🥳 There were so many of you waiting for me & making up noise that a passer-by asked me what I had won 😅 I told him “I won at life”!

🇯🇲 made it to the commonwealth games with a team of 4 for the first time in over 30 years & this time the team also included women. We might not be number one but we are the beginning of something great. I am proud of what we have achieved in this short time.
