Coming down to the unnecessary controversy
Quoting Lt Gen KJS TINY Dhillon on this, since sir has wonderfully summarised what’s in the heart of most of the Faujis

“You want the young officer to sacrifice his life for the love of the Nation, but you don’t want him to express his love for his fiancée.

In the Army we say ‘Youngster nahi karega, toh kaun karega’.

If you can not find a fault in his professional capabilities, don’t do this nuktachini for such a pure gesture of love and belonging.

Military equipment has been on display during many ‘Know your Army’ exhibitions around the country. The students and non military personnel have clicked pics with it showing pride and love for the Army. So, please don’t bring in the national security angle into this.

Let the young soldier do his national duty with pride and honour 👍

To the world, this celebration might seem like an overreaction — but only an ex-NDA knows what truly goes on behind the scenes.

Months of relentless prep: timed routes, endurance runs, short runs, legs strengthening squat burners, early morning or late night sit-up sessions, “motivation sessions” in the battalion area 😜, “counselling” in the squadron office for sixth termers 🫠, and of course, those character-building sessions by the X-Country ICs.
Add hydration drills, morning sprouts, and the ever-promising enclosures — the grind is endless.

These cadets have poured their blood, sweat, and soul into every moment.
Congratulations to Alpha Squadron on winning THE GLIDER!
You’ve earned every bit of this glory.🥂🙌

Almost every son’s first role model is his father and so was my case. Growing up he used to tell me about NDA and how things work at National Defence Academy. Whenever he used to meet his coursemates, they would just remember their NDA Days and those anecdotes were so interesting to hear that anyone would get motivated to join NDA 😅

It was only when I went to NDA that I realised that these stories only seem nice when you are listening to them as living those stories kind of sucked at that moment.😅😂

Sooner or later I understood the beauty of that place that during those three years at NDA, it might seem like HELL but after those three years, it would always be like HEAVEN for you❤️❤️. And you would give anything in the world just to go back in time and relive those memories.❤️❤️

To experience that camaraderie with your coursemates who are your brothers beyond blood is an experience in itself. 🍻🍻

My father and me were both lucky enough to join the most prestigious academy in the world, National Defence Academy and even more luckier to get the Best Squadron, India Squadron. 💪💪

I would forever be indebted to National Defence Academy and to my squadron, India Squadron 🙌.

My experience in NDA Special 👇

My parents used to live in Delhi while I was undergoing training at National Defence Academy. This meant only one thing that I had to use NDA Special while coming home during term break.

Initially I was very hesitant to use NDA Special as it meant that 2 Days out of my precious 28 Days Term will now be used for traveling but still I gave it a shot as I was quite inquisitive about the special train.

As soon as we landed on the station we were made to stand in a queue in front of our respective bogeys on which our squadron and battalion was clearly indicated (Slide-2).

We were then allotted our seats which was just a formality as ultimate purpose was to sit with coursemates do lot of BC,make noise and just have loads of fun.

Fact:-As soon as the train leaves Pune station the Pipe band starts playing it's tunes and as soon as we come back then welcome us with the same tune (Slide-3).

Very few people know this but our Drill Ustaads also accompany us on the train but the best part is that even they know that we are proceeding on leave and they don't say anything until and unless we are somewhere grossly wrong.

Most surprising fact about NDA Special is that when you are going home, you are constantly wondering why this train is moving so slow and when you are coming back from term break and going to academy, you are constantly wondering why this train is moving so fast😂😂
Even though it takes the same time😂

NDA Special will always hold a close place in our hearts. Not because of the royal welcome, not because of the great food, not because of the fact that we were going home
But only because of the memories which we created with our squadron types on the train having fun ❤️
Will never forget that!!
Thank you NDA SPECIAL you were truly VERY SPECIAL ❤️
