✔️Keep it simple
✔️Don’t over think it
✔️Inhale rib cage expands
✔️Exhale ribs glide back towards the midline
Repeat 3 X
✔️At the bottom of the third and last exhale just before the desire to take a breath without pushing all the air out …
✔️pause (Do not think “hold your breath” this causes too much tension in the body)close nose and mouth go to mimic drawing in air.
✔️Don’t let any air in.
✔️Wirh the desire to breathe
✔️Release the hold
🤨Air should enter? Or exit?

🧐Since 2012 when I began my pelvic floor restoration journey and my Hypopressives practice I have continued to practice, evolve, fine tune, learn and teach others this revolutionary approach to core training.
It has forever changed the way I train my core.
-
🥰The results I began to experience back then became far more then achieving a diagnosis of stage 2 prolapse recovery.
-
🙋♀️What makes Hypopressive training so unique❓
-
🤨Traditional core programs often over emphasize the need to build strength, power and that six pack.
-
👍We need to change this mindset and start to train the muscles that make up the core in a functional way as they are intended to work.
-
👉The term “core” refers to the deepest part of something.
These muscles don’t work alone they work synergistically as a unit, so let’s train them as such.
-
👏Hypopressives optimizes core control and stability, improving respiratory function and alignment while targeting the deep system / core ( pelvic floor, respiratory diaphragm, transverse abdominals and multifidus ) to work in an automatic anticipatory way as it is intended.
•
🫵If you aren’t training alignment you aren’t training respiration.
Without alignment and respiratory training you aren’t optimizing core function.

🤔What can I say ….

🧘🏼Great class!
For a while now I had been wishing I had taken up Yoga sooner….
🧘🏽♂️No time like the present😉
😃So glad I started doing classes at
👏👏Although I have 3 hot yoga classes under my belt, I think they will become a new part of my weekly routine.
🤔Would love to try my Hypopressive practice in the hot studio to see how that feels.;)
-Could become the new rage “Hot Hypos” 🤣🤣
“Don’t find out the hard way.”
Yep… that was me. Physically and emotionally knocked down harder than I ever expected.
In 2012, my symptoms of core dysfunction showed up as a bladder prolapse. 💔 Devastating at the time — but it led me to what would completely change my understanding of the body: the Hypopressive technique.
After nearly 25 years in the fitness industry, I realized something huge… Core training had been all abs. 🚫 No diaphragm 🚫 No pelvic floor 🚫 No multifidus
Just more pressure, more impact, more crunches.
I had flat abs — but a pelvic floor that couldn’t keep up.
My weak link? An inability to distribute pressure evenly through the core canister, which ultimately shifted my structural integrity… and my bladder.
Hypopressives didn’t just resolve my prolapse — they transformed how my body functions: ✨ Better posture & movement ✨ Improved breathing patterns ✨ Nervous system regulation ✨ Pressure management from the inside out ✨ And yes… still strong, toned abs
This is why I do what I do. 💛
As a Master Trainer and certifying course instructor, I’m here to help you prevent and restore symptoms of core dysfunction — with education, guidance, and real support.
Not sure where to start? 💬 DM me or 🗓 Join me Jan 7 | 6:15–8:15 for a guided Intro Workshop / Masterclass.

I know this is where I am supposed to be saying something really meaningful and creative but TBH all I can think of is …..YEAH Snow!! When can I go Skiing? 👏❄️❄️❄️ 🤣😬
#happynewyear #newyearsday #❤️snow
⏳A little of this and a little of that. Not too much of this and not too much of that.
💼 Work
Grateful that I love the work I do, the people I meet, and the fulfilling sense of purpose it offers me. I have learned that there are no failures, just lessons learned. Don’t try to do it all. Do one thing well.
🧘♀️ Self Care Calm
I have always been great at the energetic self care part of living. It is the calm and stillness I have always struggled with. Perhaps it comes with age, but I have found a deep sense of comfort in being still.
🏃♀️ Movement Energizes
This is where I typically love to live, with the wind on my face and the rhythm that moves me forward. In mind and body.
👯♀️ Friends
Time spent with friends are cherished. They know if we are planning to get together it will somehow involve a walk and not wine 😂
✈️ Time Off
I love to travel and step away from the everyday.
🚘This year we skied through the Dolomites in Italy, stopped in Vicenza, took our annual France trip with a couple of days in Prague, visited Chloe in Montreal while she was doing research for her masters, spent a weekend with friends on Christian Island, and even travelled to Winnipeg to watch friends of ours son compete in a Nationals boxing tournament. He came home with silver.🥈
🍽️ Good Food
I am not a foodie, I typically keep it simple, but my taste buds have broadened over the years thanks to travel and new culinary experiences.
👨👩👧👦 Family
My constant. The grounding force behind everything else. Always reminding me what truly matters.
Too many pictures and too many great moments. A good problem to have 🤍
My 2025 also had moments of deep sadness, stress, frustrations, and anxiety. The emotional ups and downs that keep it real, put things in perspective and allow you to see and feel emotions on the brighter end of the spectrum in full colour.
2026 I am ready!
Let’s GOOOO!!!

ALIGN. BREATHE. RESTORE.
•
😃For those of you who have recently joined me here, I wanted to share my abbreviated journey.
•
🧩Hypopressive Training was the missing piece to my overall health and wellness.
•
🌸Although it was my prolapse that led me towards this phenomenal technique, I can truly say it has done far more for my lifestyle, improving my overall health and wellbeing. Hypopressive saved my life as I knew it, and now I could not imagine my life without it.

Align🌸Breathe🌸Restore
📏 Align 🫁 Breathe🤸🏽♀️ Restore
➡️The Hypopressive technique relies on two essential components the breath work and the details within each pose.
➡️Don’t try and make your apnea / false inhale harder, stronger, deeper by forcing the desired look to appear.
➡️Fine tune the details of the pose for your best apnea and reap the rewards of longer lasting benefits.
REMEMBER
📏ALIGN ➡️ Line up the details of the pose.
🫁BREATHE ➡️ If the pose details are in place you should be able to breathe with ease and perform a signature apnea
🤸🏽♀️RESTORE➡️ Start enjoying all that a functional core has to offer.
