We are inviting 5 NomadHers to come to Jeju Island to work with our team in front of the ocean view workation center and we will be the first team who would ever visit their working center.
This would be our upcoming first ever official digital nomad programme in South Korea 🇰🇷 some of our team members are coming with me and hope to see all of you in Jeju Island!
Hundreds of women from 20+ countries gathered at Station F to celebrate the power of solo travel and global sisterhood. 🌍

A heartfelt thank you to our partners and sponsors StationF, HEC Incubator Paris, KOSME, 71to96, e.damso, Dinto, Hwarang, and Yepoda for supporting our mission and helping us build a stronger global community of women travelers.

For example, in the very beginning, I hosted a ramen meetup where only two NomadHers showed up. There was a hiking meetup with just one attendee. I even organized a workshop that had only one person sign up. That pattern continued for over two years.
But looking back, the best thing I did was to just keep going—continuing to build, no matter what the outcome was. Because I believed that this was simply part of the journey.
Every single time, I told myself: This is just the beginning of the journey to become a tiger.
I think every beginning has those moments where we feel awkward, ashamed, or self-conscious—worried about how others might judge us because we’re not good at something yet, or not getting the results we hoped for. I know exactly what that feels like.
But I also believe that sometimes, taking a risk can become a turning point for creativity—or spark a bold decision or movement.
One thing I truly believe is this: regardless of all the disappointments we may feel about ourselves, we must keep going. We must believe in the power of taking action.
Every journey starts from a tiny beginning, and I will never, ever forget my Day 01.
Aloha NomadHers 💖
Thank you for always being part of this community of travel & women’s empowerment.
We want to be fully transparent with you:
👉 Tickets for She Can Travel Paris are now FREE (limited to 300 spots).
Why this change?
This is our very first event of this scale in Paris, and we realized 3 things:
1️⃣ Visibility matters – many follow us, but not all have joined the NomadHer app.
2️⃣ Price was a barrier – 89€ felt too high for women who had never experienced our festival before.
3️⃣ Station F is huge – as a small startup, filling such a massive venue requires more time & communication.
So, here’s our decision:
✔️ Refund all ticket purchasers
✔️ Make the festival FREE for up to 300 women
✔️ Consider this event a major investment in impact & accessibility
Our mission: to empower women through solo travel, sisterhood & community. 💪✨
By gathering 300 women at Station F, we’ll show the strength of this movement and give NomadHer the visibility it deserves.
📅 Join us on September 27th in Paris — and invite other women who could benefit from this community. Tickets are FREE now on our app and we ask all of you who wish to join our event to download the NomadHer app and also to get verified.
Let’s make She Can Travel Paris a day of stories, sisterhood, and inspiration that goes far beyond Paris. 💖
With gratitude,
Hyojeong & the NomadHer Team
I said, “Dear Hyo, I know that you are crying every single day. I know that you are so stuck, nothing looks like it is moving and you will still cry for upcoming years. I just wanted to let you know - one day you will become a woman and entrepreneur who will be invited by Google to come to San Francisco by representing South Korea, one day you will become someone that people want to hear your story. So I know how hard it is but please continue and keep continuing. I trust and I believe in you.”
I got invited by Google as one of the 10 app developer companies from South Korea to visit their headquarter in SanFrancisco Mountain View. was one of the Top 10 companies that were selected by Google team - it felt so much for me because we have applied for this programme for the past 4 years and every single time we had applied - we heard “no.”
Every single time I hear No- I told my self that we will try again and again. In a week from now on, we are hosting our 7th edition of annual female globetrotter festival here in Paris France 🇫🇷 and cannot believe that how much paths we have come all the way, most of all the fact that I had not given up regardless of all those uncertainties. I really wanted to share with all of those female entrepreneurs out there, especially those who are starting, who are doubting, who think every single path is so uncertain - yes we might hear hundreds of Nos, yes we will cry every single day but one day it will shine.
7 days left for NomadHer she can travel Paris and cannot meet all of amazing female globetrotters soon!🔜
Last year, Google’s London team flew to film a documentary about our founding story. And this year, NomadHer was invited to San Francisco as one of the Top 10 app developer companies from South Korea in 2025.
Hi, I’m Hyojeong — founder of NomadHer. A small team of less than 10 built this app, yet already 400,000+ women around the world are part of our community. Seeing our story become a paid campaign on YouTube means so much for us as a tiny startup with a big mission.
So many of you asked about the beginnings of NomadHer — here’s a glimpse 👇
- Idea started in 2018, while I was studying in Paris.
- I had 0 coding background, just the courage to start and ask for help.
💶 First capital? €100. Crowdfunding, small grants, family, and a lot of hustle.
💔 The real reason: after a frightening experience while couchsurfing in Italy, I realized I wasn’t alone. Too many women fear solo travel because of safety. NomadHer became my way of healing — and creating a safer, braver world for women travelers.
NomadHer is more than an app. It’s a movement. And it started with one story mine.
Now I want to hear yours:
What’s your solo travel story?

Since 2019, our Female Globetrotter Festival has brought women together in Seoul, Busan, Paris, and San Francisco to connect, share, and inspire through travel.
On September 27, we’re back in Paris at Station F, the world largest startup campus — bigger than ever.
