From start to finish, the meal at is a peaceful & delicious experience where & his wife expertly guide you through a traditional tea & matcha ceremony, sake pairings from many regions of Japan, and carefully made Japanese food prepared right in front of you.
I especially enjoyed:
🔥 Bintan charcoal grilled mackerel on shiso leaf with nori and yuzu
🍚 Rice with six kinds of mushroom, chives and dashi
🍶 The Sake pairing - I never knew how good Sake could be until this pairing!
🐚 Scallops shinjō in clear dashi broth, chrysanthemum, diced turnip
🐟 Charcoal grilled Dorade Royale, Satsuma-style sweet potato tempura, karasumi powder
🍵 The ending matcha ceremony - it felt like a meditation in slience that we all took part of. I loved being able to pick my own cup and on top of it all, the matcha was the best I’ve ever had
🎎 The amazing attentive service from the whole staff, explaining each dish and Japanese custom in detail
It’s no wonder they got a Michelin star only 1 year after opening! Definitely one of my most memorable meals in awhile & highly recommended next time you’re in Paris 🥐🎌❤️

If you love manga / anime or are just curious - this is a great exhibition with over 600 drawings covering many series from the 1970’s to today!
If you’re a One Piece fan, there’s several rooms filled with original drawings showing many iconic moments in the series. There’s even a separate One Piece Only installation showcasing the creative process behind it all.
I grew up reading Bleach and Jojo’s Bizarre Adventures, so it was especially cool to see artwork and sketches displayed from both series.
