Objectif que je m'étais donné: être sur le podium des championnats du Monde chaque saison jusqu’aux Jeux olympiques de Los Angeles.
Année différente: nouvelle programmation d'entraînement, nouveau site d'entraînement (déménagement), nouvel entraîneur (qui parle anglais 😅, c'est une belle opportunité pour rattraper mon retard), nouvelle philosophie, nouveau management, nouvelle spécialité, nouveau rôle, nouveaux coéquipiers.
Beaucoup de “nouveaux” = beaucoup d’incertitudes, mais un bol d'air frais qui fait du bien!
On termine 6e des championnats du Monde.
Sur la finale, on met +6 secondes qu’en demi-finale, dans des conditions légèrement plus rapides. Hyper frustrant.
Évidemment, le résultat est la conséquence de tout ce qu'on peut procrastiner au quotidien. Je peux vous faire une belle liste des fondamentaux, mais il y a deux signes qui nous ont sauté aux yeux pendant les championnats du monde.
Avec la tension de la compétition sur les deux dernières semaines, techniquement, on s'est dégradé collectivement, on s'est renfermé individuellement sur ce qui nous rassurait.
Un signe qu'avec le stress, le doute ou tout simplement l'envie de faire mieux, chercher à faire différemment dans son coin, même pour essayer d'aller encore plus vite, cela engendre des décalages.
S'enfermer dans ses croyances et dans ses peurs.
Ne pas s'autoriser la critique constructive entre coéquipiers par peur de vexer l'ego. Peur de ne pas trouver les bons mots.
Pour ça, je m'en veux beaucoup, car à chaque fois qu'on avait réussi à franchir ce cap avec Matthieu, à chaque fois, on a gagné.
Se vautrer en beauté...
Encore une fois.
L'impatience de gagner devient de plus en plus oppressante. Encore un point qui va falloir bosser, mais qui me donnera de l'énergie pour la prochaine saison 💪.
