This sweet girl came to our shelter on and we are shocked it took her almost 5 full months to find her home. Although she does have some energy, she is extremely sweet with every person AND dog she meets! 🐶💕

Alex is a sweet boy who seems shy and timid at first, but once he starts to feel safe and comfortable, his playful personality really shines! ♥️🐾
He’s the type of cat who enjoys simply being in the company of his person, doing his own thing, and hanging out in the same space as you. While he’s still learning to trust, he’s made wonderful progress and would thrive with someone patient who understands that love from cats can look different 🥹💕

Mari was brought into the shelter Friday morning after she was found roaming a neighborhood in North Knoxville. The sweet woman who found her took her to a vet to look for a microchip, and luckily she had one, but the number was no longer in service. 🥺
Luckily, Mari was adopted from our shelter and we are always listed as an emergency contact on microchips, so Mari came to us to be reunited with her family. 💖🐾
Mari’s family had been frantically searching for their sweet girl all morning when they came across our post on Facebook and called us immediately! We gave them all the info they need to get her microchip updated and now Mari is on her way home! 🥹
Even without the proper contact listed, having Mari microchipped allowed her to be safely reunited with her adoring family!! 🎉
LOOKING FOR OWNER
Mari was adopted from our shelter 10 years ago, and was brought to our shelter this morning as she was found on the road in North Knoxville, and her microchip came back to our shelter.
It appears that her original owner passed away and she was rehomed, but her microchip was never updated by her new owner. It is clear that she is loved and probably very missed, and we would love to reunite her with her family!

Marie has worked in a few different positions at our shelter over the last 6 years, but we love having her in her current role as Shelter Medical Assistant! She is a huge asset to our vet team and we couldn’t imagine doing our daily duties and medical care for our animals without her. ♥️💪
The kindness, empathy, and dedication she brings to our shelter is inspiring to all of us that get to work with Marie every day. She is also our resident big dog lover, and anytime we get in large breed puppies we already know Marie will be calling her husband to ask if she can adopt 😂
