Iām definitely missing carbs lately. I found myself thinking about eating my chicken salad yesterday with salty crunchy tortilla chips. I know I can have them sometimes but I have to remind myself theyāre a sometimes food for me. I tried to make healthier oat meal cookies for my daughter and I wound up eating too many of them. I feel like Iām a certified sugar addict and just canāt have it around. I know the goal is to get to a point where you can have these things around and to not lose control but I also know that we donāt expect the same from an alcoholic. If I have to abstain from sugar for the rest of my life then so be it. Definitely trying to figure out how to make peace with my health journey.
