I don’t know how long I slept in the paddock for, but Rhythm slept on top of me for at least an hour. To my right, our Boss horse Rocky was laying down a few metres away and laying down next to him was our project horse Maverick. The rest of the herd were napping while standing ☺️
Rhythm loves being loved and how amazing is it that this unconditional, understanding love is all she’s known ❤️✨

This is Rhythm, our beautiful young mare who sleeps laying down with me. I’ve mentioned to a few people what a sweet personality she has and I think this little moment shows it 🥰 Just look at her trying so hard, asking for a proper cuddle… tilting her head to the side 😋
I put my phone down after filming this to give her my full attention, to show her courtesy and respect while she ‘talks’ to me.
I believe it’s when we actively listen to each other, and hear what the other is saying, that we develop mutual trust, love and respect for one another.
But that makes sense doesn’t it. Isn’t it nice to feel valued?
For someone to put down their phone, make eye contact and show you through their actions that you’re seen and heard. That what you have to say is appreciated and you’re thanked for sharing 🤗
I’m looking forward to seeing how Rhythm continues to grow. She has a beautiful soul and it’s been a pleasure being her shepard, watching her unique spirit emerge 😍✨
