The day kicked off at Monterey Bay Kayaks, where Jenny Grossman, Gabe Calistro, and HI-SURF intern Robert Liu led the group through the Monterey Bay. Back on shore, students toured Hopkins, explored the historic Miller Library, met researchers in the Micheli Lab, and got a behind-the-scenes look at our diving and boating programs.
As Audrey Yau (Director, Stanford Energy Postdoctoral Fellowship and Stanford Sustainability Accelerator Fellowship) put it: “Of all the visits and tours our programs have had at Hopkins, this one was by far the most interesting and engaging. We are grateful to everyone who took time to connect with our group.” We hope to see you guys again next summer! 🚣♀️
