Used to control and accuracy, spinning clay brought a whole new kind of challenge (and plenty of laughs along the way).
Some pots were wonderfully wobbly, some impressively refined — and all of it great fun!

We’re a husband and wife team — Alan is from Dublin and Annabel from London.
It’s where we met and lived before swapping city pace for something a little slower in the Cotswolds.
2️⃣
HP is a second-generation family owned business, founded in 2001 by Annabel’s parents.
We took over in 2014 when they retired, and will be eternally grateful for the foundations they built — and the freedom they gave us to shape the studio into what it is today.
From 2 potter's wheels to now over 20, alongside a small team of 3 wonderful tutors who teach and help run our workshops.
3️⃣
In our past lives, Alan worked as a city banker and Annabel in fashion, before Annabel returned to her roots and introduced Alan to pottery — he turned out to be a natural!
4️⃣
Family is at the heart of everything we do. We’ve got two beautiful girls (9 & 3) — and our pup Harry… aka Harry Potter 🤍✨
They’re often in and around the studio (usually covered in clay and somewhere they shouldn’t be!)
We’re quietly hoping they might be mad enough, to one day carry on HP as a third-generation business.
5️⃣
Alongside teaching, we create our own range of tableware — simple, clean forms designed for everyday living.
Our Cusack Ceramics maker’s mark — the linked “A A” — is a nod to both our first names, brought together under our surname, Cusack.
Whether you’ve taken a class, bought a piece of our work, or simply found us here — thank you 🤍
We’re so glad you’re here!
