What a year. We took this house right back to its bones and started from fresh, and 1 year later, here’s how she’s doing 😍
There are 8 rooms in this house, including the hallway, bathroom etc. We have DIYed 5 out of those 8… wow. I am so proud of how far we have come. It’s not been easy at times (who remembers the full house electrical require lol), but we did it.
The next year is such an exciting year - with plans for all of the remaining rooms, such as the bathroom, hallway, dressing room 😆🤞🏼… FLOORING?! DOORS?! I can’t wait.
This first year consisted of lots of non-aesthetic work that you can even really see, such as fresh plastering on every. single. wall. (Yes leon made us remove all of the old plaster in every single room, by ourselves 😉) (my lungs are barely functioning). And of course the boring bits like plumbing, electrics, etc.
2026 is the year of building on the foundations we have made in the house so far, decorating some more, adding final touches to already nearly finished rooms, and really bringing our sweet cottage core farmhouse dreams to life 😂
