Masala Beans on Toast
Ingredients:
• 1 tbsp oil
• ½ tsp cumin seeds
• 1 small onion, finely chopped
• 1 green chilli, finely chopped
• 1 can baked beans
• Salt, to taste
• ¼ tsp chilli powder
• ¼ tsp turmeric powder
• ¼ tsp coriander powder
• ¼ tsp garam masala
• Fresh coriander, chopped
• Bread slices
• Grated cheese
Optional toppings:
• Chopped onions
• Green chilli
• Fresh coriander
• Pickled onions
• Sev (for extra crunch)
Method:
1. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Let them splutter.
2. Add onions and green chillies. Cook for 3–4 minutes until soft.
3. Add chilli powder, turmeric, coriander powder, garam masala, and salt. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
4. Add baked beans and mix well. Finish with fresh coriander.
5. Lightly toast the bread. Spoon the masala beans on top.
6. Add grated cheese and air fry until the cheese melts and the toast turns crisp.
7. Top with onions, coriander, green chilli, pickled onions, and sev.
