Masala Beans on Toast
Ingredients:â¨â˘ 1 tbsp oilâ¨â˘ ½ tsp cumin seedsâ¨â˘ 1 small onion, finely choppedâ¨â˘ 1 green chilli, finely choppedâ¨â˘ 1 can baked beansâ¨â˘ Salt, to tasteâ¨â˘ Âź tsp chilli powderâ¨â˘ Âź tsp turmeric powderâ¨â˘ Âź tsp coriander powderâ¨â˘ Âź tsp garam masalaâ¨â˘ Fresh coriander, choppedâ¨â˘ Bread slicesâ¨â˘ Grated cheese
Optional toppings:â¨â˘ Chopped onionsâ¨â˘ Green chilliâ¨â˘ Fresh corianderâ¨â˘ Pickled onionsâ¨â˘ Sev (for extra crunch)
Method:
1. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Let them splutter.
2. Add onions and green chillies. Cook for 3â4 minutes until soft.
3. Add chilli powder, turmeric, coriander powder, garam masala, and salt. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
4. Add baked beans and mix well. Finish with fresh coriander.
5. Lightly toast the bread. Spoon the masala beans on top.
6. Add grated cheese and air fry until the cheese melts and the toast turns crisp.
7. Top with onions, coriander, green chilli, pickled onions, and sev.
