In 2016, I made my first real investment in photography with the Sony Alpha 6000. After weeks of research and frustration with my iPhone not capturing what I saw, I chose Sony and it changed everything.
That little camera gave me room to experiment with lenses, settings, mistakes, and growth. It pushed my skills far enough that I eventually outgrew the body, which is exactly what a first camera should do.
By the end of 2018, I upgraded to the Alpha 7iii and invested in my forever lens, the G Master 24–70mm. To this day, that setup delivers the images I envision. I flirt with prime lenses here and there, but my go to never lets me down.
My photography has opened doors around the world and introduced me to some truly amazing people and as I start saving for my next upgrade…

Start with older gear that will not break the bank. Learn what you love to shoot. Let your style lead the equipment, not the other way around.

I’m deeply grateful for the projects that aligned this year, the ones that carried me to new places and pulled me closer to myself. More creativity. More intention. More trust in what feels right.
This year also held loss. We said goodbye to our sweet boy, Kane 🐶he was a constant comfort during a season of change and forever part of our journey.
It was a year of new opportunities, brave choices, firsts (including running my first 5K 🏃♀️) and gently letting go of what no longer serves me.
And as an Aquarius, I feel it deeply, these shifts aren’t random. The changes unfolding now and into 2026 feel favorable, aligned and destined.
Change is the vehicle that carries us toward what we’ve been asking for. So I’m staying open. Letting the winds of change move through my life; Trusting God’s timing.
Most of all, I’m grateful for my family and friends. Here’s to new year ahead filled with love and laughter ♥️

Built in the 1600s as a commercial harbor connecting the sea to Copenhagen’s city center, Nyhavn is now one of the most iconic spots in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The colorful buildings date back to the 17th and early 18th centuries, making many of them among the oldest in the city.
One of the most photographed spots in travel for a reason. Pro tip: visit in the morning to avoid crowds and catch Nyhavn at its calmest.

Built in the 1500s, Kronborg Castle is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and famously known as Hamlet’s Castle, which inspired Shakespeare’s play. Once a powerful stronghold controlling the Øresund Strait, it’s one of Denmark’s most important historic sites.
During our visit, the Christmas market inside Kronborg Castle filled the courtyards, it was one of the most unique Christmas markets in Denmark.
Bonus: the train ride and castle entry are included with the Copenhagen Travel Card, making this an easy, affordable winter escape from the city.
