7/4(土)祇園祭神輿渡御が斎行されました。
大勢の担ぎ手の参加のもと、今年も無事賑やかに八坂神輿が市中へ。悪疫退散と無病息災の祈りを込めて氏子町が祓い清められました。
祇園祭実行委員会、總社明神會、氏子会、氏子各町および青年会、有志の方々、また各地からご参加の神輿会の皆さまのご尽力に心より感謝申し上げます。
今年は中心市街地にて獅子舞も華を添えてくださり、多くのご声援とご協力にも有り難く厚く御礼を申し上げます。
これより先、週末毎に常陸國總社宮の周辺地域では兼務社における祇園祭が続きます。
夏祭りから9月の例大祭まで、熱気溢れるお祭りは始まったばかりです。

7月4日(土) 祇園祭神輿渡御
当宮には三基の御神輿がございます。
9月の例大祭に担がれる二基の御神輿、「總社大神輿」「明神神輿」、そして7月の祇園祭で担がれる御神輿が「八坂神輿」です。
半纏もそれぞれご自身がお持ちのものを自由に着て、老若男女、国籍を問わず担ぐことができるのが八坂神輿の魅力です。
12時半に発輿祭を斎行の後、中心市街地を2時間ほどかけて担がれた御神輿は夕方16時頃に還御いたします。
お天気も心配されますが、街中でのご声援宜しくお願いします。

6月30日(火) 17時より夏越大祓 茅の輪くぐり神事を斎行いたしました。
平日にもかかわらず多くのご参拝をいただき、厳かに罪穢れを祓い清め、また新たな半年間を迎えるために心身を整えることができました。
人形をお申込み、七夕の短冊にお願い事を記したり、イリグチノワ御守をお受けになるなど、境内では半年の節目を意識され心穏やかに過ごされて方々が多いように感じました。
皆さまのお健やかな日々をお祈り申し上げます。
茅の輪くぐり神事の後は、拝殿では祇園祭の祭典を執り行いました。
来たる7月4日(土)には祇園祭の神輿渡御がございます。まさに老若男女が担ぐ事ができる御神輿です。雨が心配されますがご声援もよろしくお願いします。

7月1日から授与を開始しました。
授与所前や手水舎などは風鈴が飾ってあります。
小さな風鈴、『風鈴みくじ』も再頒布をしています。
地下から汲み上げた水に浸す、涼しげな水みくじ『ひたみちみくじ』とともに暑い夏に涼を感じられる季節のおみくじです。
7月 文月の月次祭を斎行いたしました。
昨日の夏越大祓で祓い清められ、また新たな半年の始まりとして、恒例の月次祭に今月もたくさんのご参列をいただきました。
今月の「總社月次御幣」は「水色（みずいろ）」です。
月次祭のご参列が叶わない方には当月中、授与所にてお受けいただけます。

〜 箸もススキもゆかりの色よ うどん召しませ青屋祭 〜
当宮の北200mほどに鎮座している青屋神社。
古くは国府に赴任した国司が常陸国一之宮 鹿島神宮に高浜から船に乗り参拝をしていましたが、悪天候で出航できない時に青草で仮屋を作り遥拝していたことが青屋祭の始まりと言われ、この辺りには向暑の頃にうどんを食べる風習が残っています。
年末の年越は蕎麦、一年の半分を過ぎた夏越にはうどんを食べ、半年ごとの節目を意識してお祓いを受ける。
これからの半年もお健やかでありますよう祈りを込めてご一緒に夏越大祓 茅の輪くぐり神事にご参加ください。
