Some weddings are special because of the day itself. Some are special because of the people. This one was both.
I’ve known Chris for nearly 20 years, so standing behind my camera and watching him marry the love of his life was one of those full-circle moments I’ll never forget. From childhood memories to wedding vows, it was an incredible privilege to document this chapter of his story.
And these two? They are so perfectly matched. Equal parts hopeless romantics and complete goofballs. The kind of couple who can share a quiet, movie-worthy moment one second and have each other doubled over laughing the next. The kind of love that feels effortless, genuine, and entirely their own.

Jenna & Thomas’ wedding day was everything a wedding should be: joyful, emotional, a little chaotic, completely authentic, and unapologetically them.
From the bridesmaids’ reaction to the ring, to portraits beneath the trees, to championship belts, cowboy hats, lightsaber battles, and a dance floor that never quit—every detail felt like a celebration of the life they’ve built together.
And yes… that tiny blur on the dance floor is Lucca, who apparently decided sleep was for other children and chose instead to party with the newlyweds. 💃🕺

This weekend at YPAC I had the chance to photograph The Linkin Park Experience, and it took me straight back to my roots—loud music, stage lights, a crowd that knows every word, and me tucked somewhere near the stage trying to freeze the energy of it all in a frame.
At one point I was down by the stage stairs photographing the crowd when the singer asked, “Can I embarrass you for a second?” Next thing I know, I’m getting pulled on stage and introduced to the entire room… and suddenly the crowd is yelling “We love you, Hilary!”
I don’t shoot concerts for the fame, Instagram followers, or people screaming my name. (In fact, most people don’t know I photograph concerts!) I do it because music and photography have always gone hand in hand for me. But moments like that are a pretty good reminder that this job is something special.
And honestly… getting paid to photograph live music is already a gift. Getting to do it when the band is this good and playing music I’ve loved for years? That’s the real win.

And then there are the ones that make you pause and think, wow… love like that really exists.
Hope & Julianna have been through more together than most couples ever will, and somehow their love has only grown stronger, deeper, and more beautiful because of it. Watching the way they look at each other during their engagement session made my job incredibly easy — when love shows up like that, all I have to do is press the shutter.
Today they became husband and wife. 🤍
And if their story has taught me anything, it’s that real love doesn’t just survive the hard things… it holds on tighter.
As Mariah says, you’ll always be a part of me… and I’m part of you indefinitely.

This fall session had the prettiest golden light, and this crew made it so much fun. Kids this age can be a little tough to crack at first, but once the laughs start, the real smiles show up — and those are always worth the mission.
Looking back through these reminds me why I love photographing families in this stage of life. It’s such a sweet in-between moment — not little kids anymore, but not quite grown up either — and it deserves to be remembered. ✨
