I’ve lost count of how many trips I’ve taken to Mexico at this point. With a home-base in Texas, it’s such an easy & affordable flight. And I don’t just mean Cabo & Cancun. I’ve lived in Mexico City for months at a time over the last few years - taking Spanish classes and simply immersing myself in the culture. I’ve backpacked from Tulum(back before its prime in 2016) all the way to Bacalar, Playa Del Carmen, Puebla, Oaxaca, Guanajuato, San Cristobal, San Luis Potosí, etc. I’ve celebrated my birthdays in Tulum, Cabo(my 30th!!), and Isla Holbox. I entered a relationship in Mexico and it was the place that I bought a one-way ticket to in 2017 when I quit my job to travel the world full time. When I tell you I have LIVED in Mexico - my God!! Some try to play mi amor bc it’s “basic”, but I for one will always return for more.
While a long journey, South Africa will have my heart forever. It brought me so much healing in 2023 after a rough few years of mental struggle post pandemic. For a few years, I spent the first 2-3(January through March) months of the year in Cape Town. I can’t help but call United to push back my flight each time I go. It’s a place of contrasts, but that’s what made my time there so enriching. I stand by the fact that it rivals Rio de Janeiro for the best landscape in the world with mountains, beaches, and vineyards in a concentrated area. I literally smile when I think of my time there. I’m smiling now. 😩 With their summer approaching(December-February), I find myself reminiscing HEAVVVY. My time there fundamentally changed my perspective on life.
And Greece is that gurlllll SO SO many islands to choose from. From backpacking in Santorini to doing multi-day sailing trips across the islands, I’ve returned year after year. I’ve traveled there alone, couchsurfed with strangers, partied in the islands of Crete & Santorini with my bestie, road-tripped & skinny dipped in Milos, hiked Amorgos, stood in awe in Amorgos, and more. #takemeback as they say lol
The beautiful thing about returning is that every trip is different. Why? BC we are different each time we go. Where will you always return?
My favorite features:
• separate packing panels that keep everything tidy
• compression panels for the last minute “just in case” items
• a ton of zippered compartments
• built-in lock for security
• smooth 360 wheels
• expandable zipper because I always overpack
• water-resistant laundry bag for easy organization
• colors that match any vibe
• sleek design that still turns heads
• lifetime warranty that seals the deal

Here’s to more trips, more memories, and luggage that keeps up with all of it. Where my AWAY luggage rollers at? If you don’t own one yet, have you ever heard of AWAY? Drop any questions about the luggage below! I own every size!

Picture this! White sand, Gatorade blue water, no service, and the kind of quiet that forces you to slow down in the best way.
What to know:
• Klein Curaçao is only accessible by boat, so you will need to book a day trip. I went with, which includes a simple breakfast, drinks, a hot lunch, shaded areas, and plenty of time to relax or explore. Seats are available on the beach and you’ll be able to sit under cabanas at no extra cost.
• The boat ride is about 90 minutes each way, so you’ll definitely need some Dramamine if you get motion sick!
• Plan to reserve a full day for this experience. You’ll start your day around 9am and return around 5pm.
• There is no service on the island, so download anything you need beforehand and lean into the stillness. This was my favorite part! I got to truly disconnect AND unwind aka nap lol
Whether you want to swim in the clearest water in Curaçao, wander around the lighthouse, or get a massage on the beach like me, Klein Curaçao is the peaceful escape you might not even know you needed.
Have you been keeping up with my Curacao trip? Would you be down for an experience like this? #Curacao

WHAT TO DO IN CURAÇAO
• Explore Willemstad. Those colorful buildings? This neighborhood is a whole UNESCO heritage site with buildings dating back to the 1700s. The best spot to wander around!
• Beach hop the west side. Each beach felt different, which kept each day interesting. Grote Knip, Playa Porto Mari, and Cas Abao are some of the best beaches on the island! They’re all different but one thing remains the same - the snorkeling is some of the best I’ve ever seen! I spotted tons of fish, coral, and even sea turtles. It ended up being one of the most peaceful parts of the trip! Book as your snorkeling guide!
• Take a scooter tour with. This helped me see more than just the beaches. We rode through neighborhoods, dropped into bars, stopped at lookouts, and heard stories about the island. It gave me a better feel for the culture and vibe of the island overall.
• Spend time at Mambo Beach Boulevard(especially if you don’t have a rental car) It was convenient, social, and easy to enjoy without overthinking anything. It’s convenient when you’re staying in Willemstad without a car!
• Try local food. I loved how fresh and comforting everything tasted. The seafood, oxtail, johnny cakes, and fried red snapper were some of my fav eats! Some of my fav spots were The Old Market for local food, Kome for the best food overall, Brisa Do Mar(for red snapper), La Reina for brunch, and the Pink Unicorn for Soul food!
This is Part 1 of my Curaçao guide. I fit a lot into four days, so I’ll be sharing more soon!
Thank you to Tirzah for being the very best personal guide & curating the ultimate itinerary! Reach out to her to plan your trip!
Ever been to curacao? Is it on your list? Am I convincing you? #Curacao

A few highlights:
• Infinity Pool + Bridge of Sighs for the unreal sunset views
• Kaito Sushi Bar: Get the dragon roll & thank me later!
• Loved the live jazz at Loft Café, one of the many lounges & bars onboard.
• Riding the Robotron Coaster, which is the only at sea. You know I had to do it!
• Endless aerial shows, live music, and nightly performances!
Plus the Aurea Spa, Yacht club, buffets & more! If you you’re based in Texas and curious about cruising, MSC Seascape might be the one. Plan your Caribbean escape out of Galveston through the link in my bio!

TBH, Travel has made me soft. With such a whirlwind of experiences, the tears must flow. I’m just glad I’ve learned to make space for them.
When, where, and why have you cried tears of sadness or joy on a trip? Please share below!
*Resharing one of my fav posts*
I didn’t know where I’d be in 1 week let alone the next 6 yrs. I didn’t know where my next paycheck would come from, let alone that I’d be a full-time travel blogger 1 day. I didn’t know if I’d survive backpacking alone that 1st yr, let alone hitting 60 countries before 30.
I had NO idea. I was literally just winging it(lowkey still am) but 1 thing I did know? I felt a calling. Something told me things would work out. And if not? At least I tried. For me, it was all in the trying. The becoming. It wasn’t about the destination(s). Sounds cliche, but it was always about the journey.
I’ve been blessed beyond measure the past 6 yrs. I’ve seen the world & had the honor of inspiring you to book solo trips, go abroad for the 1st time, or quit your jobs in pursuit of a greater purpose.
Most of you have been here before 2018, before I got partnerships with brands like Delta or Marriott, back when every picture was taken by a stranger, before I had a mgmt team, before I had 5k let alone 100k followers, when I could only afford hostels, & before I ever knew what all of this could become. You’ve kept me going.
The times where I had zero support from those closest to me, was isolated in a hostel across the world, didn’t feel like showing up online. Y’all were cheering me on, telling me to “keep going”. I can’t express how much your support has landed me here. For now I’ll stop & announce a 6 day giveaway!
I’m paying it forward so Day 1(Today) is a $250 giftcard to the airline of your choice!

Plz share! When’d you start following? How’d you find me? What do you gain from my content?
Plan out the first few days - It may sound cute to ~go w the flow~, but a lil of planning goes a long way if you’re new to this. Less overwhelming!
Research ALL THE THINGS - Research Blogs, articles, forums, fb groups, etc. It’s easy to overlook stuff when you’re planning alone. Look up: travel docs required, airport transfers, what (not) to wear, best area to stay, common scams, things to do.
Join Travel Focused FB Groups - listen to ppl that have been. Read Girls Love Travel And Solo Female Traveler Network.
Sleep In Social Accommodation - IMO nighttime can be the loneliest, so it helps to know there are other people around. I don’t prefer quiet hotels. Meet other travelers in hotels w common areas, private room in Airbnb, hostels, etc.
Choose Location WISELY - Should be central or near activities. This also helps save on Ubers. Obv not in a isolated, dark area or sketchy areas(check google images)…for safety.
Start Small - If necessary, pick a location w/ common language or a nearby city to ease your way into solo travel
Don’t Over or Under plan - Underplan & you won’t know wtf to do. Overplan & you miss out on spontenaiety, which is the essence of solo travel
Pack Light - Nobody to carry your bags or watch them while you go pee…lmao, so pack light
Arrive at daytime, trust your gut, stay vigilant, don’t post in real time, DO YOU - It’s your trip, you can sleep if you want to. No compromising. Toss out the arbitrary list of ‘must do’s’ & embrace the freedom! THIS IS WHY WE TRAVEL SOLO.
