Ok hear me out, the small hot chocolate is almost $9 but if you like rich, dark, European style hot chocolate, it’s absolutely worth it and truly hits the spot!
feels like accidentally stepping into a fairytale - an enchanted place full of a variety of decadent chocolates. Perfect for a last minute gift (especially for yourself!). Highly recommend it in any season but especially winter because of the added coziness.
The Cacao Room at the back serves a variety of hot chocolates, as well as a little afternoon tea 🫖 perfect for a cozy date. Make a reservation, especially in this season 🥂

Head to The Waverly Inn on the corner of Bank Street and Waverly Place in the West Village for dinner. Warm up by the fireplaces, the inside is so cozy but even more special is table in their heated outdoor garden! I highly recommend the salmon and the chocolate ganache cake with strawberries. Then walk along the quiet, romantic streets, with Christmas trees twinkling inside the windows, occasional notes of music drifting by. Bonus (but very rare): a light snowfall adds to the romance. Once your fingers are chilled to the marrow, head inside one of the many cute bars / restaurants for a cocktail or mocktail: featured here is but I also recommend or if you want another dessert.
Prettiest streets for decor are Bank Street, W 11th St, Perry St, Charles Street, and W 4th Street.
Whenever it snows, we run to the park, and those are my all time favorite New York City memories ☃️

Beautifully dressed for Christmas, the Plaza lobby is the perfect spot for photos! Unfortunately, it’s not open to the public in December, so if you want to visit, stay at the hotel or make a reservation for afternoon tea / drinks at The Palm Court.
The best hack is to see this decor end of November when the lobby is still open and holiday magic is descending on the city. Save for next year!
This is for all of you waiting in line at Ralph’s even on a random weekday afternoon - walk a few streets south to this pretty little bakery and enjoy a cozy cup of tea & slice of cake 🍰 🫖
You could also grab a butter or cinnamon croissant for a festive Upper East Side walk - guide coming soon!
Note: I don’t recommend the coffee or the chocolate croissant.

I’ve always wanted to see the and trees under the snow so I headed there first thing. There were more people out and about than I thought - I guess everyone wanted to experience the magic of snow in New York City!

- Start on 6th at W 50th St (recommend getting off the B / D / F / M train) to admire Radio City Music Hall with giant ornaments and candy canes. Get coffee on 6th and 50th if you want
- Walk east on 49th or 50th to Rockefeller Center - reserve a chalet if you can!
- Walk east through Channel Gardens to the Saks holiday windows (no show this year 😢😢)
- Head north to St Patrick’s Cathedral then
- Walk east to Madison Ave to see the beautiful tree and courtyard
- Back to Fifth on 52nd for the stunning Cartier building and light display
- then a coffee break at if you want
- Back to Fifth Ave and north for a cute tree and bathroom break at Swarovski
- Head to on E 55th St to see the Victorian carolers between 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm
- Don’t miss the Louis Vuitton light show on the trunk on E 57th St every 30 mins starting 5 pm
- Then check out the window displays
- continue on to lobby (but this will probably be open only to guests)
- End at Dior on E 59th OR continue to the Upper East Side for a nice dinner

You can also flip this itinerary to start with ice skating at the Wollman Rink in Central Park and then walk south on Fifth Ave.

Fifth Ave feels a little different to me this year without the light show, no toys (the Toys on Fifth were so cute!) and Pulitzer fountain under construction + the Nest fragrance trees give me a major headache, but it’s still very festive so here’s an itinerary for all the major decorations.
