It is with unimaginable sadness that we let you know that Adam's incredible dad Ken passed away on the evening of the 7th March 2026, at 81 years old, after a long battle against Parkinson's Disease and lung cancer.
He was one of the kindest and funniest people you could ever hope to meet, and he was terribly undeserving of the cards life dealt him.
An amazing dad to Adam and Father-in-Law to Bethany, he had the two of us at his bedside holding his hands as he left the physical world and while the hole he has left in our lives is tremendous, we are so lucky to have his infectious energy always in our hearts.
His last five days were spent at in Burnley and we can not thank every single member of staff there enough for the care and dignity afforded to Ken during that time. They are all angels and we are forever indebted to them, Timmy the tabby cat included! 😻
With that in mind, we've chosen to take part in Pendleside Pub Walk on the 13th June, to raise money for the hospice to allow them to continue providing such amazing care to those who need it.

Thanks to we experienced one of the most stressful and panicked days of our lives, ending up emotionally and financially drained.
We left home at 4am yesterday to make the long drive down to the channel tunnel to head to Calais to pick up our 4 kittens and their mum from their flight escorts (who had their own 5 kittens in tow too!)
As we pulled into the train shuttle terminal we received a message that made us sick to our stomachs: the airline has lost 3 of your kittens.
Cue utter terror, panic, and a LOT of shaking and screaming tears. Immediately we took to social media to sound the alarm. You might remember little Rodri who was lost and has never been found.
For HOURS we were left not knowing where our kittens were. Had they arrived in Paris? Had they even left Greece? Thanks to the pressure from so many, we were told that they'd inexplicably been left on the plane and were heading back to Thessaloniki!
Due to work, Adam was forced to cancel his shuttle ticket, not knowing if or when we would see our cats again. I then missed my shuttle & I had to get a later one, as he got the train to Dover and hired a car to drive home at great expense. Meanwhile I got a later shuttle to Calais, hoping for some answers.
After a LOT of pressure from and the kitten escorts, Aegean reluctantly agreed to fly them back from Thessaloniki to Athens, then to Paris THAT NIGHT. They initially tried to tell us 2 days! Those poor kittens, terrified. Unacceptable!
Finally the kittens were off the plane in Paris and on their way. I waited alone for 9 hours until they arrived, missing my booked shuttle back to Folkestone, and having to pay £280 for a new one at 2.20am! Once back on UK soil, I faced a 6 hour drive back to Lancs, all before work.
Our kittens' flight escorts didn't have to do that for us. Their kittens arrived no problem, but as we would have done for them, they stayed and missed their connections in order to make sure our babies were safe, resulting in missed work, and paying a truck load of money.

Bethany has taken part in numerous activism demonstrations, including the ones pictured to bring awareness to the public of the horror that is animal exploitation.
This is something we're both extremely passionate about, we are, above all, vegan for animal rights.
Being vegan is the least we can do. Talk about it. Be loud about it.
