Yesterday I felt a little shaky after warm up throws and thought I was nervous for the first time in a competition 😅 I struggled during the competition since my legs felt like jelly. After we got off the infield I recognized the feeling from earlier, so I took out my Apple watch and did a quick ECG and got good answers to why I was feeling shaky. I had Atrial Fibrillation during the whole competition. Many of you who follows me have maybe seen that I have posted about this before. Usually the heart rythm goes back to normal after few hours. I went to sleep 10 hours after it started and woke up the next morning and it was still ongoing. My team doctor and I went straight to the local hospital where I got good treatment and some more medication. After 23 hours since it first started, my heart rhythm went back to normal and I was sent home.
It sucks that it happend on the big stage, but I'm really happy that I could produce one good throw that secured me a medal 🤩
After the season I will undergo a surgery that hopefully will put an end to these episodes🤞🏼
Had some challenges during the competition but super happy to share the podium again with the two big polish guys and a special congratulations to now 5-time world champion
