The fire, started by a lightning strike during a thunderstorm on July 30, continues to burn across particularly steep and difficult-to-access terrain. Arriving directly from Venice to support firefighters who have been working on the fire for several days, the AW139 operated with a Bambi Bucket, carrying out multiple water drops over the affected area.
