Nicht nur ist die Überfischung Grund für das Verschwinden von Fischarten, Überdüngung in Form von Phosphor und Stickstoff sorgen dafür, dass der Sauerstoffgehalt im Wasser sinkt. Dies führt wiederum nicht nur zu Artensterben der Meerestiere, sondern auch von Meerespflanzen. Und auch der Klimawandel macht unserem Gewässer zu schaffen.
Die internationale, gemeinnützige Meeresschutzorganisation Sea Shepherd, welche den Buckelwal nach seinem ersten Stranden aus der Bucht geleitet hat, möchte über diese Gefahren informieren. Auch rufen sie mit Lösungsansätzen zum aktiven Handeln auf.
Auf der VEGGIENALE® im FEZ Wuhlheide am kommenden Wochenende, werden uns die Mitglieder Kathi Baschin und Fabian Mechelke genauer über den Zustand der Ostsee aufklären und uns erklären, was wir tun können und müssen, um unser Gewässer zu retten. Der Vortrag findet am 19.04. um 15:30 Uhr statt. 🎤
