Merry Christmas to those who celebrate 🤍 This has been a big season of change for me. My fiancé, our two pets, and I left our home of almost ten years to move in with my mom and stepdad.
It was a big shift, born partly from a desire to evolve my career and lifestyle, something any small business owner or freelancer knows is really challenging when you are out here trying to ✨make it✨. It is also my partner’s final year studying neuroscience and psychology 📚
And finally, it was driven by a need to reconnect more deeply with family after a few years of what felt like unrelenting family tragedy.
I feel a strong pull toward making more memories, carving out more time for a real personal life and intentional FUN with the people I love, and fostering a closeness that I think I let slip a bit after 2020.
Having our engagement party at my mom’s was such a treasure. It was everything I hoped for and more, and it really reiterated to me how much I missed and longed for that in-person connection.
As I look toward 2026, I’m hoping for more of this, and for the space to make important changes to my career that just weren’t possible when we lived on our own.
I don’t know exactly what the future holds, but I do know that I disrupted a cycle I felt stuck in. And that opens up a whole new world of possibilities, which feels genuinely exciting.
Change is scary, but it’s also juicy and full of potential.
Love you all. And I’d truly love to hear about your plans for 2026. It feels like a big year for many of us. I’m entering it with optimism 🫶🏻

I ALWAYS encourage brides and nearlyweds to consider the sizing needs of their entire group when planning wedding party looks. Otherwise, something meant to be celebratory can quickly become isolating or anxiety-inducing for your loved ones.
For this exact reason, I’ve been so impressed by ’s bridesmaids collection. They offer sizes up to a US 30 or custom sizing to your measurements—so everyone in your bridal party can feel welcomed and included, and focus on what truly matters!
There is a wide variety of styles to complement each person’s taste and your wedding palette; and most importantly, every piece is thoughtfully made for EVERY body in your bridal party!
It’s exciting to see a brand that understands how meaningful it is to feel included in these moments. If you’re looking for bridesmaid options that are on-trend yet still classic, size inclusive and accessibly priced: you need to explore Leading Ladies LA 💗

Thank you to for having me. I spend so much of my life shopping online that I sometimes forget how grounding it is to try things on in person. There is something so helpful about seeing the proportions on your actual face and giving yourself a moment to explore without rushing.
I had the best time and I’m genuinely obsessed with SO many of their frames. The Ingrid stole my heart the second I put them on and I’m super excited to incorporate it into my wardrobe!
I tried on a ton of styles in this video. Which ones are your favourites?
PS: Shout out to for the invite 🫶🏻 and another shout out to Labubu’s mom for the great vibey music all night.
As well, all of the amazing snack and drink providers! I appreciated you!
Another PS: If you’d like to shop these frames for yourself, feel free to use the event promo code, BNQUEEN15. It offers 15% off regular-priced eyewear, both in-store and online (until February 28, 2026) for both the burgundy and chocolate colourways featured in this video:) Not an affiliate link for me, just sharing the love ✨👓

It was such a fun and beautiful experience! What every plus size nearlywed deserves! was my stylist, and it was more incredible than I could have ever imagined. So much of my life and personality is unconventional. My relationships, my career, my dreams of the future. I was worried that this experience would feel SO traditionally bridal that it almost wouldn’t feel like “me”. But that absolutely wasn’t the case, and I felt like me the entire time.
I found myself particularly drawn to gowns from. Though they have a wide range of styles, something about their designs just consistently clicked with me. The black dress was such an unexpected fave.
THIS was the plus size inclusive bridal shopping experience I was waiting for. Thank you so much to for getting it right.
Next on my wedding look(s) journey, I’m trying to find…
✨ A darling engagement dress
✨ A reception dress/second look
✨ “Bridal” footwear (in wide widths!)
✨ Plus size friendly floral lace tights
✨ My wedding lip colour (I love things in the realm of Black Honey but I need it dialled up a bit more in terms of longevity for this day)
✨ Probably a million other things…
If you have any suggestions, I’m always all ears! And try to do a little sleuthing on ’s page to see if you can figure out which dress I picked. I won’t confirm or deny, but I will come back here next year and let you know if you have a P.I. career in your future:)
Hint: it’s been posted on their feed in the last month!

At the start of 2024, my life completely changed. I began suffering from panic attacks, which were so terrifying that I was afraid to even speak or post about them. I worried that the mere mention might trigger another one. My fight or flight was so activated that I could hardly sleep. I would wake up, gasping and terrified.
I’ve lived with an anxiety disorder most of my life, and I honestly assumed “panic attack” meant a moment of very high anxiety. Then I had one. It felt nightmarish, unnatural, involuntary, deeply frightening—I truly feel it can only be fully understood by those who have had one.
After the first one, I felt constantly gripped by fear of the next one. I withdrew from people around me, from work, from social media. At the end of July 2024, I entered what felt like a month-long dissociative episode, punctured only by more panic attacks. It truly felt like hell.
I cancelled a family trip I was so, so excited about and took a month-long hiatus from work to try to recover. During this time, I explored many things…the DARE Method for panic attacks, a new mental health medication, and met a new therapist (that I am so grateful to have in my corner).
It has now been ONE FULL YEAR with no panic attacks! 🥹🎉 For those who also suffer: it IS possible. I can finally talk about them openly. My work–life balance has been a little less work and a little more “life” and recovery this year. But finally, my world is being put back together. With an amazing care team, my incredible family, and my partner, I feel stronger every day.
With the upcoming anniversary of the house fire that took my grandfather’s life, I feel proud of my resilience. Keeping up my mental health regimen through this grief is a proud achievement for me.
I think prior grief and stress put me into that initial bad mental state. But I’ve had to get really familiar with it. I’ve had to confront it a lot. And it’s made me look at the world from a completely different perspective. I’m not returning to an old self. I’m meeting a new version of me, and I’m excited to welcome them.
And I welcome 2026 with open arms! 🙏🏼✨
Give and take care,
Hina (Heensie) Low
This capsule wardrobe is perfect for an elevated casual workplace—and your life outside of the office too. It’s a simple, thoughtful approach to dressing
for the season. It can be built up, or modified, depending on your unique preferences.
All pieces featured (sans footwear) are from EILEEN FISHER, and I’m wearing a 3X which works perfectly on my US size 22 body.

Each piece in this wardrobe was thoughtfully chosen 😊 The corset tank was because when I was a kid in 2004 who loved Evanescence—the corset top my mother bought me (as inspired by Amy Lee) was one of my go-to wardrobe pieces.
The long, black slip skirt and hoodie is a reference to the long, black, tulle skirts and hoodies I loved to wear (but modernized for the average adult in 2023).
Gerard Way often rocked a suit jacket or blazer (usually complete with a tie) and along with Billie Joe in the American Idiot days, taught me all about how you can get dressed up and still be a weirdo and a rebel. I got my first blazer in the 8th grade because of them and had to include one here!
The pop of neon from the bag is a reference to the progression into “scene” culture, the brighter and more electric sibling to emo wear.
There is admittedly a lot that I would change now though about this video, several months later. I wish I dialled up the emo more! 🖤⛓
However (if you saw the original TikTok), you’d see that this brief was for a working professional adult who wanted to retain a bit of the “kinda emo” energy and that was the intention of this concept rather than something that we would have worn in 2006. I was hoping to have just a hint of that look interwoven throughout the wardrobe.
Another change I would make is I really prioritize more ethical and sustainable brands now in my work — I wished I used this to highlight really cool alt indie brands such as and more, rather than approach it from the POV of how to “edge up” easily accessible basics.
But I ended up making a part 2 to this, which is posted here on my page, that was a bit more “true” to the classic emo style. Enjoy!!!
